Service is rockbottom – My wife and I got married in Colorado and had our rehearsal dinner at Rockbottom in Denver. We love their beer. At their location in Campbell, CA we loved the patio and happy hour specials. It's one of the few places in the San Jose area where dogs are welcome on the patio.

Unfortunately, that's where the praise ends. We really wanted to love this place, really. We spent a year going here a couple times a month and every time the service was absolutely horrible. But with a nice patio and decent beers we kept going back. After four or five trips in a row with a completely inattentive wait staff and extremely rude hostesses, we've decided to give up.

The last trip we waited 15 minutes just for a waitress then another 10 for drinks. Mind you, there were only three other tables occupied on the patio. Then our appetizers were brought to a different table and we didn?t see our server for another 10 minutes. Long story short, after sitting there for nearly 45 minutes we decided it?s time to find another place to enjoy happy hour.

Great Beer and Good Food, You Must Try! – Rock Bottom has a great variety of beers. I especially recommend trying their specials, they tend to be great. The food is also great. I highly recommend the Brown Ale Chicken, Burgers, and their Chicken Fajitas. To be honest, I have only had one thing there I did not like and they have since removed it from the menu. If you like beer, make sure to join the Mug Club for bigger beers at the same price.

Excellent menu – I'd heard a lot but was disappointed with their beers. Their food is above par for a brewery; the ribs are fantastic. They have good variety too. A little on the expensive side but certainly worth the price. The service varies between average and terrible, but if you want to hang out with friends this a great place. They have a patio with heaters, which is good during the winter because seats inside are not always available.

Don't get left out! – I've been here a few times and have had mixed experiences. When seated inside, our service has been excellent and the food decent. But most recently, we had a large group (plus a dog!) and were seated way in the back, and totally forgotten. Their food is okay to decent, but bar food nonetheless. At least there are healthy items such as wraps and salads.

Great beers and appetizers! – I love Rock Bottom and I am a mug club member ..Scoring more than 150 pints and attending annual Cigar Dinners I can say I think I know the place. The appetizers are good and match pretty well with the beer. The Raccoon red is a fav and most recently the Kolsch is pretty nice on a warm day. Try the ballpark pretzel and a couple racoon reds, you wont be sorry. The nachos are OMG tasty as is a simple double plate o'fries with beers. If yer still hungry the burgers are great and the chicken sandwiches are too. Steer clear of the "pulled pork" (its not southern in any way shape or form) and the bland pastas . . My brother raves about the monte cristo which I cannot attest as I dont understand eating a deep fried ham sandwich. Have fun!

SMELL WHAT ROCK BOTTOM IS COOKIN!!!! – Rare is the microbrewery that offers great beer and good food, but Rock Bottom is the place!

This is one of my favorite restaurants! For starters try the Titan Toothpicks! And don't come here is you're not gonna try the beer. Faller Wheat is my fave, best wheat beer I've ever had! And don't leave until you've had the carrot cake, monstrous and delicious!!!

Casual diners come to this chain brewery for top pub grub and signature microbrews. – The Scene
Located in the Pruneyard Shopping Center, this classic brewery offers plenty of warm woods and open seating. Families and couples banter over the meals in the expansive dining area, while a full-service patio area attracts a bustling singles crowd on warm nights.

The Food

Gourmet salads, burgers, sandwiches and steaks dominate the menu. Try the roasted garlic tenderloin, smoked fish and chips, and individual pizzas. The Monte Cristo sandwich is a decadent deep-fried monster, oozing with Swiss cheese. The beers--pales, reds, browns, stouts, lagers and specialty ales--are crafted on-site by the brewmaster. The Brown Bear Brown and the Raccoon Red are both well-balanced and malty. Also look for seasonal brews like the nice IPA.

Good beer, good food, what a combination – The last time I was there I Had dinner and it was wonderful. I was there with a friend and we met the brewmaster and had different beers recommended with each course of a special dinner, a terrific experience. I never relised beer could compliment food as well as wine does. :O)

Great Beer but.... – Beers were excellent. Carnitas, a Sunday special, was terribly dry and had no flavor; probably was "slow-roasted"...from the previous Sunday. The burger we ordered was over-cooked and the bun was so dry, it crumbled in our hands. The staff were attentive, once you could draw their attention from the football games on tv.
