It was always around 22 bucks but at 11 bucks a roll it was a great bargain. I recently went and to my dismay they no longer have it and the rolls seem to be about 1 dollar more per roll. It seems as though everyone is tightening their belts these days with the way the economy is going. I guess if you want a nice dinner it's great! They have the chef prepare everything right there for you. I’ve had Jose the Asian guy on multiple occasions and he is pretty fun to watch. He does the whole Volcano thing as well as a cool egg trick. I really do still like the food but if you have a family or a date it can be a little spendy. I spent close to 40 bucks on 3 sushi rolls and wanted more but just could not justify the cost! Great place to go if you’re not on a budget!
Poor Service-Over priced-average food.
Had reservations and waited for 40 minutes to sit down. The hostesses were rude and not accomodating. Asked for the manger he could not care less and said we had only been there for 10 minutes (his girls said that)
manger knew our table (13 people) were not happy ..so did he come over and say sorry or ask what he could do to improve our stay??? Hell no!!
Plus his 21 yr old hostesses were giving us looks the whole time.
Bottom line:
OVER PRICED
VERY BAD SERVICE
NOT FRIENDLY
AVERAGE FOOD
LONG WAIT (EVEN WITH RESERVATIONS)
Sake bomb!!. this place is a little tucked away but check it out and make sure to grab some sake and beer and go for the sake bomb.
Editorial Review. Starved diners watch as traditional Japanese cuisine is prepared right before their eyes.
Beware of Flying Objects at the Teppan Table. I went with my boyfriend for dinner and sat at the teppan table. All in all it was a fun experience as teppan cooking always is. I would recommend ordering the fried rice which costs a little extra, b/c the chef cooks it for you right at the table. The two complaints I had was that while the chef was "throwing" around his cooking utensils it flew out of his land and landed in my boyfriends' empty plate. Luckily it didn't hit the water. I guess it's the assumption of risk you take sitting at the teppan table. Second, I thought throwing the chicken pieces for you to catch in your mouth was gross, especially since I was caught off guard and it hit my clothes. The food was good although my steak wasn't really seasoned.
