In Short – With only 10 indoor dining tables, six outdoor tables and an open, gleaming steel kitchen, this casual eatery offers an intimate dining experience. Appetizers include the delicately spicy, baked oysters asiago, mixed with sauteed spinach and garlic. The house-favorite Hawgs prawns are breaded in panko and served with tartar and cocktail sauces and grilled vegetables. The menu also includes steak, chicken and lamb for non-seafoodies. For dessert, try the rich cappuccino truffle.

Hawgs continues to impress. Having eaten there for years, I returned after being away for a while. The portions are epic and the flavors are right on the mark. Typically the half order of most dinner entrees is almost too much, so leftovers are a for sure with the standard portion. The mussels and/or clams are not to be missed. One small gripe is the lack of choice in oysters - just one. Other than that, Hawgs continues to be an all time favorite for seafood.
- Pros: Really good food at a great value.
- Cons: A little cramped, so get there early on busy nights. Only one choice for oysters.
nicely surprised!

Arrived at 6 pm, seated right away. Before our waiter got a chance to greet us, we were served great bread. Our food was to us within 10-15 min. We were interested in some speciality drinks from the bar, they specialize in Martini's, but we were interested in a larger selection. Also wanted a larger fresh fish selection, they only had salmon and mahi mahi that night. However, cajun pasta dish was SO GOOD. Very flavorful. My partner ordered the lobster and prawn pasta not as flavorful as mine, could have used the parm cheese they offered maybe. BUT both dishes were hugh portions, fresh, not oily. It had open kitchen, it was pretty cool to see the flames fly up in the air. It's across the street from a playhouse, would make for a great dinner/play date location. We were lucky to get there early, crowded when we finished.
- Pros: VERYAttentive service, delicious food, huge portions
- Cons: drink menu selection, fresh fish selection
