My tummy say Yummy! :). I like this place. In general, the food is good. I enjoy all the screens to view my sports, and they keep the channel on the important games. Very Important... Anyhow, yesterday we picked up our christmas tree and stopped in to eat. Our first server was wonderful and the food hit the spot. Thanks guys, dinner was great.
Fowl Ball great, foul waitresses- not so great.
DD's is a great place to sit and watch the game, have some beers, and the food is alright.
The waitresses have bad attitudes, and are really obnoxious. The last time we were in we had this one chick, Christy or Christina or somthing, and she was walking around the place yammering at the top of her lungs and calling attention to herself. She was too comfortable with talking to us like she knew us and lacked professionalism. i know it's a sports bar and all, but can you refrain from cussing while taking our order? NOT attractive.
Recommended: IF you want to catch the game, otherwise nothing too special. Double D's is the type of place you go to catch the game (hockey, football, basketball...golf, whatever, etc...). Other than that, you're paying for Chili's quality food at Los Gatos based prices (if you're from the South Bay you'll know what I mean). If you're willing to shell out $15 for beer and a burger, by all means, go ahead, you can enjoy your food and watch the game. Double D's is great for families and groups of friends or even for team/group parties. It's also fun if you just want to get some fries and play some pool. It has a great location, right on the downtown Los Gatos strip. Parking and getting a table at DD's can be annoying at peak hours/nights, if you want to go in the evening make sure to get reservations otherwise look to having a long wait (30-45 min on a game night)
Really good for a sports bar!. I was here for a birthday party and was seated with 30 insanely loud rugby players. Still, our waitress was attentive, accurate, and friendly. I had jambalaya pasta and substituted the prawns with additional chicken. My order was right and it was quite good. The atmosphere was fun and lively and (in my case) loud. The drinks are strong and the bussers are fast. I'd go again.
ok. no parking food is ok, but this palce doens't have a sports bar feel.
The Place To Go. I live near for years but hadn't gone to DD's for some reason. Finally did about 2 years ago and now I'm there at least 3 times a week. Great staff, delicious food, very congenial atmosphere, noisy if you want it but comfy if you sit at other end from sports bar. Prices fair, especially for Los Gatos.
Disguised as a family restaurant, this bar offers everything important to the devoted sports spectator..
The Scene
Double D's gives off the impression of being very clean, almost sterile. The pennant-strewn walls, ubiquitous TVs (21 total, with 2 big screens), and the chatter of sports conversations remind you that it's a sports bar and not just another Chili's clone. Another pleasing aspect of Double D's is the selection of bar games. There are two pool tables, a couple of video games (including the bar-favorite Golden Tee) and even an old-school pinball machine.
The Food
The focus at Double D's is on the restaurant portion of the establishment. The fare ranges from burgers and fries to the more upscale penne with salmon and daily board specials. The well-appointed bar at Double D's offers a wide assortment of beers and liquors, with an especially nice collection of agave tequilas and imported vodkas.
Not a real sports bar.
This is really a restaurant that serves drinks and has a few TVs. The food is good, and if you want to see the game while attending to the needs of your non-sports friends, then you could go here. But if you want to really go to watch a game, hang out, and drink beer. This isn't the place.
I don't even think they have enough tvs to get all the Sunday NFL games? I'm not sure on that, but it didn't seem like it when I was there.
How to Run a Sports Bar.
Best place in the South Bay, or the Bay Area for that matter, to watch a sporting event, and get some great food. There are TV's everywhere(maybe one in the restroom would be cool ;-)..
I especially dig the clams.
And to top it off, the staff is super friendly.
Great View from every table. Best Burger in town...and fast, friendly service. You can see a few tv's from every seat. Full Bar and kid friendly
