For a smaller camera store, Los Gatos camera has a fairly good selection of lenses and film. They seem to spread some misinformation about various lenses (products they don't carry), but I guess that is to be expected. They definitely have their biases.

This store has survived the web, where cameras sell for next to nothing, so they're doing something right. They have a great staff who know their products and are more than willing to share their expertise with you. they do not push you to buy the most expensive camera, but find out what you need and lead you in the right direction. There is a large parking lot in front of the store.
