Best Beef Ribs in town. My wife and I was lucky enough to have stumbled across and ultimately dined out at Little Lou's a few days ago. Let me tell ya, the BBQ beef ribs were definitely amongst the best in the area. Like the other reviewer mentioned, there are few BBQ places that serves beef ribs, let alone good beef ribs. They only had two people working that day (cook and cashier / waitress), but the service wasn't bad. We just so happend to have dropped in during one of their all you can eat spare ribs days / time (Wed - Fri from 4PM to closing). I had the ribs and my wife had a blackberry cobbler since she wasn't too hungry. Seeing that my wife hadn't had the chance to taste the ribs, the waitress offered us another plate so I could share the all you can eat ribs with her. From then on, I couln't stop her from grabbing one rib after another. Needless to say, we'll be coming back for more.

Much Ado about nothing!. Give me a break please. The food was bad and the service was not that much better. I won't go back...

Sorry, this is not BBQ.. I usually rely on City Search for unbiased reviews and recommendations, but forget to check on Lou's before hand. Instead I followed the well placed ads and accolades listed in the WAVE and METRO weeklies. Good advertising...bad advice. I should have driven to Uncle Frank's in Mountain View for some real BBQ or Memphis Minnie's in SF. The following reviews sum up Lou's in a nutshell so no need to reiterate here.

Good for BBQ take-out, but not great. This place is only so-so. If you live in LG and want to pick up a quick weeknight meal for the family that is not pizza, it's a good bet.

Fake BBQ. It didn't seem like the meat was grilled or bbq'd....seemed like it was boiled than had sauce poured over it. Not too exciting I'm afraid....

This is not BBQ. I agree with drbowtie69, the ribs here are not BBQ. While the meat is soft, there is no flavor. The meat is not flavored by smoking or grilling and they apparently don't flavor it with a rub either. The sauce barely covers up the tastlessness. Avoid this expereince.

My first time at Littlt Lou's. So here I am, The LG Weekly raving about this great BBQ place and Bay Area Dining (KRON) rated this place in the higher areas also. As a backyard BBQ'er, I have grilled some off the hook ribs (pork rules!) and chicken too.....slooooow cooked on mesq/oak combo. And while in Texas and Tenn, I've had some of the best bone sucking, finger lickin sauce too. What these reviewers failed to mention about this place, the BBQ in these ribs is only in the sauce. I guess I can parboil, dry in the oven and drizzle a bit of sauce over them and call it BBQ?....... WRONG. I would say, save your money on the ribs and maybe try something else, the chicken my wife had looked ok? Sorry Lou, just calling it like it is.

Fabulous Beef Ribs!!!. It's rare to find a bbq place that has beef ribs and this one makes them terrifically. The sauce is excellent and the potato salad and baked beans were very good. I'm going to eat there as often as possible!! I've travelled in the south a lot and know good bbq and this is it! Blvd Coffee next door is great, too.

Small place with big taste. Little Lou's has a variety of menu items including whole bar b qued chicken, beef brisket, tri-tip steak, and of course ribs. The meat is always tender and the side dishes are generous in portion. The owner is a nice guy and often gets your order out in less than 10 mins. It's a small place, but there is ample seating outside as well. It's located in the same strip mall as Trader Joe's in Los Gatos.

Tri Tip!. I dined at Little Lou's and had the Tri Tip Steak meal and it was very good. In addition, the coleslaw is the best! This is the second time I have dined in and have enjoyed both meals. The place is simple, the staff is nice and the food is great! Good value. Hard to find from street, but in the same area as Trader Joes.
