I work on my feet all day and have had problems for years. I went to mt family doctor, he referred me to an orthopedic surgeon who also"specialized inn foot surgery' then I went to two podiatrists before a friend who had the same problem sent me to Dr. S. I have a very high arch and hammertoes with plantar facitis that was driving me crazy. I had one surgery and foot inserts made by the previous doctors. Then I went to foot solutions shoe store and spent $500 + on shoe and more inserts. Bottom line is after a thorough exam and an MRI and some nerve test it seems I had a nerve problem and the hammertoes made shoes impossible to fit. Dr. Scheinin did surgery and made proper medical orthotics (they are not all the same, believe me) . I am having my other foot done this summer but so far I am as good as I had hoped for originally. Dr. Scheinin warmed me that with the previous surgery and my arches I may always have problems but at least I can find shoes and work. He made me understand that I had to be realistic about my feet and not have unreal expectations. I did but the other docs did not tell me any different. The office staff is helpful and really trys to make the appointments as timely as possible for a busy office. It would have been great if I had seen Dr. S first but doctors refer to the same people good or bad sometimes. I also found out I did not have the same problem my friend had so m,y treatment was totally different, painful feet are not always the same.
Pros: Great care and staff
Cons: sometimes I had to wait 15-30 minutes

For years it was easier to ignore my foot pain until my wife convinced me to visit Dr. Scheinin. Dr. Scheinin quickly determined the cause of the pain and recommended corrective action. His knowledge and professionalism put me at ease about having surgery. I was fearful of not being able to play basketball or run. I had the surgery and after the appropriate healing I can run, play basketball and golf with no problems. Dr. Scheinin is thorough and high skilled at his profession! He's the man to see if you have foot pain!
