Poor Service. I went to dinner at Flames Restaurant, while having dinner with my family. I seen they were hiring. I should have known and realized this would not be a good idea after our food was burnt and on the floor we seen a roach making his entrance. My son was hired at Flames Rest. his hours was 14hrs a day and he was not allowed to continue his education. After a month of pay his check was not even half of the hours he worked. His boss decided to change his idea and not pay him hourly but salary for bus boy position. My son would come home and tell us what the kitchen looked like and how food was prepared. Little did I know our next door neighbor said he was one of the cooks and quit because he did not want to be part of the liability. Thank God my son does not work there anymore.... People stay Healthy and dont eat there!

Poor Service...Stay Away!. I would like to report an incident that took place at the Milpitas Flames Restaurant on Friday December 23rd, 2011 at 6:00 pm in the evening. I had an old gift certificate for $45.00 to be redeemed at the Flames (99 Calaveras Blvd, Milpitas, CA 95035). We went as a family with my wife and grown up children who had traveled from different parts of the United States for the holidays. We, as a family, decided this would be an excellent opportunity for the family to dine at the Milpitas Flames and utilize the gift certificate; as these are tough economic conditions since I am now retired.

We let the Milpitas Flames Manager know ahead of ordering that we intended to use the gift certificate, as it clearly stated it was issued by Flames at the Calaveras Address. Sunny Baines, who was the Manager on duty said that the owner Paul Dhaliwal was not accepting any gift certificates as he was the new owner and implements his own business rules. We kindly told them that it was not ethical or fair, as the business is representing the Flames chain. Sunny informed our family to try some other Flames within the county. We were disgusted and disheartened as we have been Milpitas residents since 1980. To witness the Flames restaurant shoot down our family dinner in flames, literally during this holiday time and day, where there were not that many customers was very annoying!

We called the San Jose Flames location and spoke to employee Denny. They were very kind and accommodating and were willing to honor our gift certificate. We had a pleasant dinner and enjoyed great service in a different city. It is very disappointing that Milpitas Flames does not value customers; they have no consideration for customer service, and of having a good relationship with the residents of Milpitas.

I would highly discourage customers from dining at the Milpitas Flames as the management and owner do not respect their customers and do not even support their own gift certificates. They must learn that they have to do the right thing, even though it is hard or painful at times.

Disheartened Milpitas resident,

Good past history of food and service. I ate dinner on August 27th. I ordered a cold sandwich which had a piece of tooth pick stuck on the bottom of the bread. Luckily I saw it before I bit into the sandwich. Today August 28th. I have had stomach cramping from some form of bacteria in the meat, cheese, or bread. The sandwich did not look very fresh prior to eating it, but I ate it anyway. I am a native from Milpitas. I used to eat at Flames sometimes twice a week for dinner. The service was better, and the food was always fresh. I called and spoke with a manager on duty. He was very non responsive when I told him about what happened. He didn't even offer me a refund or meal replacement. I will never eat at the Milpitas Flames ever again

AVOID CHICKEN FRIED STEAK FOR BREAKFAST. Used to be my favorite place for chicken fried steak for breakfast. Last time we went about a week ago the price increased by about $3.00 portions half as big, gravy like water. Sorry you lost us. Cakes are still the best.
