Nice Muslim chinese food...

Its nice. The prices are reasonable, and food is pretty good. Since this is one of the few Muslim Chinese places left in the bay area, there aren't too many choices. Service there is worse than usual, just try to be calm while ordering. When I went, it was pretty busy, so that didn't help the service.. Initially, waitress didn't really pay much attention to what we were ordering and we had to repeat a few times because she would always be distracted by a co-worker or something. :( Im hoping that was just a busy/bad night or something.
But eventually, once we got our order, the food was good.
Overall, its a nice atmosphere and good night out.
- Pros: Good food, atmosphere
- Cons: SERVICE
Good northern style chinese food

We ordered the stir fried noodles, dumplings and sesame bread. The seasame green onion bread is okay, I wish it had more green onion flavor. The stir fried noodles were tasty, but my favorite are the dumplings. Ambiance and service are good, and prices are okay, about $10 a person, definitely a good value.
FANTASTIC SESAME BREAD!!!

We found out about Darda's from the Chinese Islamic
Restaurant in southern California. Although it is not a
vegetarian restaurant they have several veggie dishes that are
delicious.....eggplant, fried tofu, veggie pie, steamed
veggie dumplings, Chiinese "donuts" and soy milk (only
on weekends), etc. The place is always VERY busy and
crowded. The waitresses are effecient but you have to
get used to the fast pace.....although we never feel we
are being rushed. Lots of families eat here. They have a
branch in Fremont that is a lot calmer (see their website)
and the waitresses are friendlier since the pace is slower.
The Milpitas branch has a tank with live sea creatures in
it (for eating).....the one drawback for us.
- Pros: Delicious food!!!, Reasonably priced!, Lively atmosphere!
- Cons: , Live edible fish tank, Parking difficult!
