Good but has been better

My husband and I have been coming here off and on for 7 years and before it has never failed. They have great enchiladas and tacos and the best sopapillas ever. Plus the only place I know so far that serves those. If you haven't had sopapillas, you haven't lived for these huge, puffy, honey drizzled, sugary desserts. But I digress. We went last weekend after a year long hiatus and the enchiladas were bland. I was depressed. Bad night? Willing to give them the benefit of a doubt but I hope so.

Great authentic Mexican food

I've been going to La Milpa for years, and love this place. The con above is a double edged sword; busy is good for the restaurant, but sometimes the service suffers if the wait staff has too many to serve. The food, though, always is good, no matter how busy. It is always fresh and piping hot, and most importantly great tasting. I've been to most of the Mexican places in the area, and this is one of the best.
- Pros: Fast, friendly service
- Cons: Can get busy on weekends, so go early

i never thought i'd like menudo, but la milpa changed that. their machaca for breakfast will keep you running on all eights for the whole day!
