Avoid at all costs!!!. Based in part of the prior good review I allows Champion to fix my car, that was a BIG mistake. Dennis turned on the charm to get me to bring my car into his shop, but once it was there it turned into a nightmare. He tried to get my insurance to pay for parts and repairs my car did not need. Later when I spoke others about my bad experince with this shop I was told about a newpaper clipping that was about body shop fraud in the area.

I found the artice on the internet below is a snippet from the Sept 10, 1998 issue fo the San Jose Mercury news:

The Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office on Wednesday announced the arrest of six South Bay body shop operators on charges of felony insurance fraud, alleging they swindled insurers out of nearly $30,000 for phony parts and repair jobs.Charges in the case resulted from an undercover investigation mounted by the county district attorney's office, the Department of Consumer Affairs and the Bureau of Automotive Repair, prompted by numerous complaints from vehicle owners and reports from insurance firms that they were receiving claims for non-existent parts and labor.During the probe of the six shops, the bureau reinspected a dozen consumer vehicles and conducted 11 undercover operations and determined that car owners, insurers and the bureau paid nearly $67,000 for parts and repair work, said Steven Giorgi, chief of Consumer Affairs' enforcement division. Of that amount, more than $29,000 was allegedly for non-existent parts and repairs.

The body shops and owners accused of falsifying the insurance claims are DENNIS KIM OF CHAMPION AUTO BODY AND REPAIR in Santa Clara; inh Huu Nguyen of C&M Auto Body; Loc Phung Ha of Seng Hong Auto Body; and Insoon Kim of 9th Street Auto Body

I wish I knew this before I brought my car there... I dont know how he can still be in business after being arrested for fraud

BEST Bodyshop in Santa Clara, CA. The second I dropped off my car at Champion Autobody I was treated great. Dennis helped me with the paperwork and even arranged for the rental car company to pick me up. He even offered to give me a ride home if I wanted one. The work performed was great and done on time like promised. You need to go see this shop, it is HUGE. I am glad I had my car repaired here and will not hesitate to return the next time I get in an accident. Oh yeah did I say it was conveniently located on El Camino Real, that was a plus. Hope this helps.
