Fresh Fish!

by kkntk at Citysearch

My husband and I have been dining at all the Fish Markets (including San Diego) for years. The fish is always fresh and never over cooked. I am at a lost on how anyone could say they did not enjoy their meal. It is not a special occasion dining destination. This is a good choice for dining with your family or perhaps an informal party. I would liken this restaurant to the chain of Legal Sea Food restaurants.

  • Pros: good value, good food, good service
  • Cons: Noisy

Unable to eat the food.

by sbacklund at Citysearch

Four of us dined at the Fish Market and all of us agreed the food was tasteless. We all ate a couple of bites and then left to eat elsewhere! The fish tasted as if it had been boiled in water and that was the grilled fish. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Excellent Seafood

by kg_eater at Citysearch

The Fish Market truly has the best seafood in the Bay area. We started off our meal with a Smoked Salmon Salad. Although the salad was tasty with a hint of lemon and tabsco sauce, I would not recommend ordering appetizers because they only fill room in one's stomach that could be used for the exquisite entrees and desserts. For the fish entrees, there are the options of cooking the fish cajun style or blackening it. In both styles, the same spices are used; however, the blackened style is more spicy because it is cooked on a different grill. The blackened link cod, sea bass, and swordfish were excellent. In addition, the dessert menu looked great with dishes such as keylime pie and chocolate strawberries. The resteraunt is family oriented with a relaxed atmoshpere. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the fish market for seafood.
