A very decent place. Been there a couple of times and was very satisfied overall with the service and quality of food. The large menu selection will be sure to satisfy fussy diners.

Simply put, a dining institution.. The Food


The name is unfortunate, evocative of KFC, or worse. But after you've managed to persevere for 40 years, you don't go changing the name just to suit the young upstarts. By-Th-Bucket was here back when Stevens Creek was a two-lane road. People would stop in to get a literal bucket of steamed clams or ravioli along with a pint of beer. The menu has grown year by year, so that now families or date-night warriors can find just about everything their heart desires at Th-Bucket. More than a dozen seafood dishes, twice as many pastas, pizzas, and lots of steaks, appetizers, and salads make reading the menu a long process. Catfish is one of the specialties, the tomato bruschetta are bright and flavorful, and the pizzas bear lots of toothsome Italian toppings.

It's a big, bustling place that is good for families or couples.

BUCKETS OF FUN. Need reservations most weekend evenings otherwise expect 20 minute wait. Large portions, nice menu selection. Nice sports bar...Reasonably priced.. CASUAL

Down the Drain. I first ate there 22 years ago. Several years ago, they were good. The last 3 visits have been disappointing. Chicken Saltimbocca used to be great, now it's the same chicken breast used in every other dish with a slice of ham and a greasy piece of cheese stuck on top. Nasty. Salad was stale or had brown patches. The "steamed" vegetables were a mix of things that were mush and raw carrots. I will try one more time before I totally write it off....

Romantic Seafood Resteraunt. By the Bucket has become my favorite seafood resteraunt. I have been there about a half dozen times and left extremely satisfied each time. Their fish is fresh and delicious, great wine selection and the atmosphere is romantic. I have always had good service and very polite waitresses and waiters. Buckets of Great seafood!. This place has undergone a tremendous facelift of the past year or so and it looks great. It's no longer a place my parents went to, but a place you can go with co-workers for lunch, or some great dining at night with friends and family. The menu is large and delicious!!
