Boy, what a disappointment. There are essentially three things on the menu: eggs, pancakes, and waffles. Prices are high and quality is average at best. Portions are small. Service is abysmal: The waitress who served us seemed utterly uninterested in us. I left less than 10% as a tip and regretted leaving that much. Later on, we met some people on the street who asked us if Little Amsterdam was as good as it was reputed to be. I said, "it was awful" and felt pleased that I managed to prevent at least two people from wasting a meal here. (They ultimately went to Los Gatos Cafe which they highly recommended to us.) In all honesty, Denny's is better than this place.
Put up with it for the food!. The chef/owner and the staff can be a little tempermental. sometimes closing down the restaurant in the middle of the morning rush if they get a little too busy, but don't get discouraged. The simple food of this establishment is well worth putting up with any eccentricities. You won't find any better hash browns in the nation!
