Great Area. This Hilton is a good location in Downtown because it is walking distance to many of the clubs and bars. The hotel is very clean and the service is great.
a good night's sleep.
This Hilton recently put in new mattresses and bed linens, and let me tell you, they're heaven. One of the best night's sleep I've ever had, especially in a hotel room (and I'm an insomniac with a bad back). Mattress was soft yet supportive, linens smooth and elegant, pillows not too overstuffed. I am seriously considering getting the same ones the next time I buy a mattress/linens.
Decor is nice, rich colors but not overpowering. Executive breakfast was not amazing but decent, with excellent service of a caliber usually only found in country clubs or classier cruise ships. Parking is ridiculously priced, of course, as at most hotels. Superb view over the valley. Convenient to pretty much anything you could want downtown.
In the still of the night, you can hear the light rail going by, but I found it soothing, like the ocean or crickets.
It DID'NT happen for me at this Hilton. I am sorry to add this review, however after no valet, and a bellman with "are you gonna ask for help" attitude, I cannot recommend this hotel! The City bar needs to be a little more realistic with the menu prices.
Business-friendly accommodations connected to the McEnry Convention Center..
The Scene
After a long trade show, a hotel connected to the convention center offers convenience for tired meeting-goers. In fact, guests can sneak back to their hotel rooms without setting foot outdoors. Those that need in-house meeting facilities will have access to 16 meeting rooms and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 250 people.
The Details
The hotel's 354 rooms include 15 luxury suites and three floors of Concierge Class rooms with wireless keyboards, high-speed Internet access and VCRs. While some rooms have an attractive view of downtown San Jose, decor is bland, with low ceilings, unadorned walls and bright floral bedspreads in maroon and blue. Despite the uninspired ambience, in-room refrigerators are a valuable convenience and the property's other amenities include a heated indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center.
