Grown-ups may feel like they're sitting at mom's table at this hotel eatery..
The Scene
The interior is pleasant, with lots of brass and comfy booths, but the outdoor patio is the choice spot during the warmer months. The restaurant seems to swarm with convention goers and visitors to the nearby Tech Museum and Children's Discovery Museum. It offers that dignified, rarefied steaks-and-chops ambiance of a bygone era with mid-priced American staples and extra-solicitous service.
The Food
This is comfort food for weary travelers and locals who have discovered this hotel eatery. The Cobb salad has a huge following as well as other salads that amply serve as a main course. Meatloaf comes with a mound of mashed potatoes and a chicken potpie arrives steaming hot topped by a crisp crust. Liver and onions, steaks and pastas all make appearances. For dessert try the fruit cobbler of the day.

Terrible brunch!.
We went to the Grill for brunch on a Sunday and we were the only ones there. We ordered the $13 buffet but soon realized that the food to be horrible. I'd hate to guess how long the eggs had been sitting there. The waiters acted like we were just being picky, but then before we were done eating they started taking down the buffet and throwing away all of the food. After all was said and done, we still had to pay the outrageous $13 a plate . . . We definitely won't be back!
