Great breakfast. I have to agree, the service at Southern Kitchen is great. I came in on a Sunday (I'm assuming the busiest day) and although I ordered to-go, the waitress was very attentive and helped me the moment I walked in the door. With anything you order, you simply have to add the biscuits and gravy. If you haven't had Swedish pancakes, I would highly recommend them. This is sort of my secret breakfast joint (I rarely go on this side of Monterey) I bring all my friends to and they all agree Southern Kitchen serves a great breakfast.

Best Breakfast in the South Bay! Huge Menu!. The staff at the Southern Kitchen is awesome. The place is small and usually crowded, but they remain polite and professional. The wait on a Sunday morning is only about 10 minutes for a table and once you sit, you will have your food in about 15. The cooks push out wonderful food and they do it fast. My favorite is the chile verde with fried eggs and home potatoes. The homemade salsa and guac are good too. All omlettes start with 4 eggs, so come with an appetite. Every plate is about $10 and you will still have leftovers. It is seriously my favorite place for breakfast in California.
