Tips for Coyote-Hellyer Park

Coyote-Hellyer Park. I have visited Coyote-Hellyer Park three times already and it really is a lovely place. The best time is in the morning. The paved trail can be used for walking, skating, or riding a bike. The lake is beautiful at night.

I give it 3 stars because of how people behave in the park. Parents let their very, very young children wander on their own in the trail without adult supervision and without any safety precautions (ie: helmets).

Many people use the park to have parties & BBQ (which is fun and OK to do) BUT they leave a mess behind and don't teach their children to pick up after themselves.

People also feed the ducks and geese even though there are postings asking NOT to feed them.

Best time is during the week or early in the morning on weekends before the crowd gets in.

the worst park ranger in this park. the older ranger who always stays in entrance lobby has the worst attitude I've never had before. He always yelling the tourists who enter the park. At first, he yelled me when i get into the park. Normally, i go to the park almost every day to walk my dog. i thought, maybe he doesn't like me. My friends told me, they have same experiences as like me, he yelled them too. i have been watched him for few times. He does same thing for each people that enter to the park. sometimes, the walkers only ask few simple questions to make him mad. I heard he was yelling a woman to loud today. Because the credit card machine didn't work, the woman did bring enough cash to pay parking ticket. He told the woman, this is not Safeway, it can not be bargain. if you don't have enough money just go home!!

I was so surprised that why Santa Clara county hires a ranger as like him to treat citizen badly. this is only an example.

if anyone knows his name please let me know... i m going to report to Santa Clara county
