Nice hotel in the heart of downtown San Jose. Very close to restaurants and shops.

Fabulous hotel in the Heart of the city. I am brand loyal when it comes to the Fairmont. While the San Jose location is not the nicest or most elegant, it is a great place to stay! I have stayed there probably about 10 times now and have never had a complaint. Christmas time the lobby is decorated beautifully and right out the doors is a Winter Wonderland! If you want something nice, I would reccommend the Santa Clara suite, it was my favorite. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location is perfect, everything you need in within a block or two of the front door! Restaurants and Bars right there for you. If you are going to San Jose, especially if you wont have a car- STAY HERE!

Busy, busy, busy. For me, one of the first things I noticed about this hotel was the amount of people in the lobby, etc. I'm not a fan of crazy busy places, so its a detractor. However, nice rooms, great food onsite (The Grill is EXCELLENT and serves PRIME meats), good concierge, and a good salon onsite when you need a hair trimming.

One thing I liked about this hotel is all the places you can walk. The downside, having to get in and out of downtown, and parking will cost you at this hotel and there really aren't any choices.

Corporate savvy meets the comforts of home.. The Scene
Since the addition of a second tower in 2002, this property looks more like a small city than a hotel. The fountain park in front is impressive, and the lobby displays a graceful, European style with crystal chandeliers, marble columns and fine art.

The Details
The 800-plus guest rooms include nearly 100 suites. Comforters and goose-down pillows provide cozy touches, while specialty suites go for luxury with vaulted ceilings, love seats in window nooks and even a baby grand piano. Suites also offer a bounty of high-tech amenities. There is a full health club and spa on-site, but the real focus is business. This hotel was built for conferences, with a multimedia theater seating up to 3,000 people and 65,000 square feet of meeting space. A full planning team is at guests' disposal.
