Great place for dancing, drinking, or watching TV. Oh, and they host some of the best parties around.. The Skinny
Housed in the historic Fenerin building, Waves is a gorgeous antique bar with stained glass, dark wood and multiple personalities. During basketball games and happy hour (4:30pm-7pm), the undergraduate crowd focuses on the 10-foot screen and munchies--like college students do--at the unimaginative but plentiful complimentary buffet.

The Vibe
The tables are inlaid with checkerboards and when night falls, the tables are cleared to unearth the dance floor. The lights dim, and reggae grooves melt the spot down to the sweaty consistency of Jamaica. Fortunately, you can cool down with tiny bottles of Red Stripe.

Grab a Bite
If you're hungry after all that dancing, you can sink your teeth into ribs, which are plentiful and come in every kind of meat you can think of. All ribs and meats are smoked, barbecued, or jerkied, and topped with any of seven homemade barbecue sauces ranging from KC Sweet 'n' Sassy to Habanero Madness.

bartenders?. I go to waves on thursday nights for house music. thats great and all,but the bartenders suck! they are sloew motion, like they dont want tips or something. i ordered a drink once and the bartender walked away and forgot about me. the upstairs bar is better, but there are no beers up there. i guess you have to be a great friend to get good drink service here.
