Tips for Right Stuff Health Clubs

Right Rip-Off. Having been a member for some 2+yrs I had occasion to leave San Jose for an undefined amount of time. I wrote to the Club and asked them to suspend my membership. On my return 6 months later I found a demand letter waiting for me. I called the Accounts Dept, and explained the situation. The girl said they had never received the letter, so basically my hard luck. They had charged me for 3 months, I wasn't keeping track so they were after the outstanding 3 ($87). I would have renew and the Right Stuff would probably seen another 2 years plus of revenue. Nice to know in these hard times the Right Stuff is in such a good position that they can turn business away. I assume they make their money by saving on personnel expense in the Accounts Dept.

The Right Stuff Health. I have been going to this gym for almost a year and I love it. The staff is so friendly and i have become friends with like all of them. The cardio room has plenty of machines, the only time when it is bad is like around 7 and 8 pm when it gets a little crowded. The weight room is also good too, they have a large variety of weights and machines, some women are a little affraid it seems to go into the free weight area because there are a lot of giant men, but i seem some occasionally. I also have a trainer, she is really nice and knows what she is talking about. I have heard some people say that the trainers seem to be worried about other things around them, I do agree with that just by what i have seen the other trainers do, but not mine she is really concerned about me and my well being. The locker room is a little small but its not that big of a deal. I would really reccomend this gym to anyone who just wants to go to a casual yet qualified place to work out.

i was LIED to. classic bait and switch scam i just ran into. We recieved a advertisment in the mail in june 2008 to add a family member for additional 5 dollars a month which sounded like a great deal. we went in and talked with Rep with right stuff on blossom hill. At first we could not get this deal because my wife had already prepaid 3yrs in advance. i was very specific with him that all i wanted to pay a month was 5 dollars for the additional family member like the coupon advertise or i would never have joined at all. He later called in the next day a left me a voicemail that it could be done so that i may be added on for just $5 a month. i had work that day but my wife went in with a current bill with my name and address on it and added he me onto my wifes acct. he voiced to my wife that i was added on at 5 dollars a month BUT on the contract he written down $14 dollars. then at the time of the signing all he said was sign here and inital here and then wrapped the paperwork in the envelope. the first month i was charged 5 dollars so i believed that it was normal, until the second bill arrived it was then $14. we then marched to the right stuff and spoke to a general mgr. He advised us that there was 2 options. 1) 5 erollment and $14 a month or 2) $99 erollment and 5 a month. i would never have agreed to any of that but the contract was signed and binding. let this be a lesson to everyone to read what you sign. i will be cancelling this acct because we were LIED to. $14 dollars is nothing to me. for me, it is the principal. i will say that i will not recommend this place to my friends and family.

its cheap. well i join a week or two ago. Its was 48 for the first month and 16 for the rest of the months. at the end of the year you pay 12 for enhancement fee. if u let them know that u want to cancel do u 30 or more days ahead of time so you wont get bill. i quit before and join back up. i had no problems there. i only wish this place had a spa or something.

Right Stuff for the Right Price. My husband and I just joined this gym a couple of weeks ago. I know about the cancellation policy and will plan accordingly. I wasn't promised any expansion and am not expecting any. The price is AMAZING and the gym has all that I would need. We go to the gym on weekday mornings anywhere from 5:30 to 7:00 and it is not crowded at all. The Kids Club is a relatively small area but it gets the job done. My two young girls (1 and 2 y/o) had a great time there when they went during my free training session, so I believe that they were well taken care of. I went to my first step/sculpt class this morning and had a great time while receiving a quality workout! I am impressed with all this gym offers for such a low price!

Right stuff health clubs. Unfriendly atmosphere, bad customer service, horribly pushy managers that won't take time to help in customer issues! Don't give them your debit card info- they will never let you cancel!!! They just kept charging my card, long after I canceled, no mangers would even help me after I said I want to cancel my membership!! I hate the Right Stuff Healths Clubs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible Club. I found out about the horrible cancellation policy the hard way. But what makes it even worse is that I belonged to the DeAnza Club and they closed it and still charged me the horrible cancellation fee. So not only was it really a 60 day notice I had to give them, they then still charged for a service they didn't provide because they had closed the club that I belonged to. Horrible, horrible business practices and customer service.

How do they expect to get members to join?. I had heard great things until this experience. I was interested in learning more about the services, facilities, and programs this place had to offer. At the moment all I wanted was to get a brochure and more information on this gym. Well who ever is in charge (possibly the head manager or someone with an attitude) didn't think it was worth his time to just give me some more information. He stated that I could sign a liability form and walk around if I'd liked and made a rude comment by saying I was just shopping around. He then walked away. Well duh -- how does he expect me to get a membership at a gym if I don't shop around. C'mon, not all members will have time to sit patiently and listen to what they have to say, some of us have kids, and places to go - whatever happened to getting detailed information, a website, etc. on paper? What kind of customer service is that? It seems like they want you to enroll on the spot by meeting with you to convince you to become a member. Too bad for such negative vibes and customer service - this spot just lost many interested parties!!! It is important to note that all places will have it's positives and negatives, but customer service is key to any type of buisness, especially if someone is requesting more information.

The Right Stuff. Great gym, friendly staff. I almost stopped my membership because I moved 10 miles south....but after testing out other gyms (Club One, 24 hr fitness and Gold's) I found that it was worth the drive. They even lowered my membership to $12.00 per month! How can you beat that! I love this gym. Clean, lots of equipment...they have a "curves" section where you can do circuit training. Lots of light free weights for women. The only thing I would recommend is to add a Cardio Kickboxing class. Other than that...it's perfect for me.

The Right Stuff on Blossom Hill Road. Friendly staff, CLEAN GYM....DOES NOT SMELL LIKE A LOCKER ROOM. Fully staffed, trained professionals. Very serious envirnment, not like Curves. Comfortable, friendly, clean, LOTS OF EQUIPMENT....why go anywhere else?
