Great skin care!. I've been a customer of New Image since it opened over 15 years ago. The best thing about this salon is quality of service. The owner, Luba, is an expert at treating problem skin. She really helped me with my acne problem. She is very thorough, so when I get my legs waxed, they look perfect. My husband also feels comfortable there, and occasionally we come in for couples massage. It's so much fun! The prices are reasonable. They sell high quality skin care products which you can't find at department stores. The salon is not fancy, but it's immaculate. They take the time to get to know you and make you feel special.
Favorite Facial Location. I have been going to New Image Day Spa since it opened. The reason I like this place is that I get consisent good facials. I get a lot of compliments on my skin now. I have gone to numerous salons prior to using New Image plus I have periodically tried other salons in the area. I keep coming back. I recommend this place to my friends. It is not the fanciest place in the valley. However, in comparison to some of the other more expensive spas, I found that I get consistently good service at New Image. Where at some of the other salons, the service was by less experienced people.
You get what you pay for ... sort of..
It's never a good sign when you find yourself counting the minutes until the treatment is over. I left the "spa" feeling as if I were going to have to have another massage and facial just to recover from my lackluster (and sometimes just plain unprofessional) experience at New Image.
The first hint of trouble was the booking process. I was called about an hour before my treatment was scheduled and asked if I could come in a half an hour early. As soon as I walked through the door I knew I was in for an interesting experience...
The place was obviously some kind of medical office before the attempt to transform it into a relaxing atmposhere. The attempt failed. The decor was dated and tacky and the music sounded as if it would be better suited for a cheesy italian takeout place. The blanket on the massage table had seen better days. The room was cold an uninviting. My favorite part was the faux fish tank on the counter. I tried to relax and expect the best but I already knew I probably wasn't going to enjoy myself.
The massage was mediocre at best and I found it hard to relax with all of the noise from other guests in the hall. The therapist didn't work on any of my problem areas or ask if the pressure was good. In fact, the table was so hard I ended up leaving more stiff than when I arrived. She finished up and left the room without letting me know what I should expect next. After several minutes I assumed they'd forgotten about the facial so I got up to get dressed, only to be interrupted by the receptionist. She could have saved herself some embarassment by knocking. During the facial the door was left slightly open for most of the treatment which made me very uncomfortable.
After the facial I was seated next to the receptionist for an awkward attempt to push their skin care line. I graciously declinded and got the heck out of there.
Bottom line: You get what you pay for.
Best spa place!. My husband has given me a spa package from New Image as an anniversary present. We ended up having am aroma whirlpool that lasted about 30 minutes. We were served champagne and chocolates. There was also a fireplace with candles in the room. After that we each had an hour (side by side) massage and a facial. It was romantic and relaxing, the stuff was professional and courteous. It was the best three hours Ive ever spent and best present I ever got.
Worst spa experience I have ever had!. This spa is not the place to go unless you want to hear toilets flushing and kids screaming outside while you are getting a massage. The massause was average on skills. First of all I thought it was weird to have a phone in the facial room. And when it rang during my session she didnt hesitate to get up and answer it! I could hardly believe it! But after she was on the phone for 5 min I sat up and started taking off whatever she put on my face since it was getting into my eyes! She finally came in and finished but I felt she was rushing to get done. I paid $125 for 1 hour facial and 1 hour massage and didnt get what I paid for at all! Seemed too good to be true and it is!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone!
Very unprofessional. Worst experience ever!. Massuese was not available. Changes were made 15 min before scheduled time and gave the option to cancel or reschedule!!! 15 min before!! Unprofessional manager. Rude customer service... untrained facial therapists practiacally ripped my skin!! NOT recommended AT ALL!!!
worst spa ever!!!!!. This is the unproffesional business I have ever stepped in. I purchased a gift certificate for my mom for mothers day and when she went in for her spa the owner told her the massage therapist wasn't there. THEY HAVE NO MASSAGE THERAPISTS!!!!! She was so rude about the whole situation and did nothing to help us out. I highly dont recommend this place.
