Good food and pleasant.
Pretty good selections of pasta and pizza. Kids manual offers enough choices for our picky eater in the family.

Good food; nice atmosphere.
This place is pretty good; it gets quite busy on Friday & Saturday nights but is worth the 20-30 minute wait.
Take-out is also a good option as prices are reasonable.
The other dishes (besides pizza) are also very good.
Try the calzone.

Trendy charm.
Willow street pizza is a nice, kind of upscale restaurant. The pizzas are all ?designer? wood-fired pizzas and are very good. This location has been here for a long time; I remember going as a kid. It?s really a pretty well decorated place in a charming old brick building. I recommend it for anyone in Willow Glen looking for a sort of trendy Italian restaurant. Tip: Make sure to save some room for the killer home-made frozen yogurt place next door!

Good pizzas and atmosphere.
Not just an average pizza joint, this menu has lots of other options, like steak or salmon salad. Nice cocktails too. It can be pretty noisy when it's full, but there's outside seating with heaters, and dogs are welcome on the patio.

Decently decent.
I ate here a few times the first few years that they were open. They opened in 1992. I moved to Willow Glen in 1992 and watched as an older building was converted into the restaurant. It had a really great atmosphere with brick walls and quiet dining. They served gourmet pizzas with toppings such as pesto, feta cheese, basil and sun-dried tomatos, etc. They also served similar salads, with interesting and different ingredients than you would not find at say... a family restaurant like Pizza Hut. Considered by many as typical California frou frou - which is the norm there. By others it would be considered modern gourmet style food. I wouldn't consider this a family restaurant, or a good place for kids (unless your kid eats caviar, artichokes, and feta on his/her peanut butter and jam sandwiches). It is a great place for couples, friends, co-workers. As for being wood-fired,... doesn't really add much to the flavor. Seems more like a ploy to try to make the pizzas seem more special. With wood-firing, the pizza crust is just more likely to be burnt. Oven baked tastes just as good or probably better.

A Cal-Ital pizza place that's great for kids and dates alike..
A Cal-Ital pizza place that's great for kids and dates alike.
The Food
When the Los Gatos location is really packed they give you those beepers so you can wander around town and feel important when you're urgently called back for your table. Kids and their parents love Willow Street because pizzas are individual--no one need compromise on their toppings. Combinations are very Cal-Ital (lots of roasted peppers, barbecued chicken, and froufrou cheeses), and the house Caesar salad is a must-share accompaniment.
The Scene
The growing empire of restaurants does a brisk business (the first one opened in Willow Glen in 1991), largely due to the formula of lively, fun interiors and sophisticated 'za. Clearly it's geared to families because each location has lots of high chairs and crayons, but it doesn't make for a bad pre-movie date spot, either.

Better to get it to go.
The service inside the restaurant is slow and the restaurant is crowded, but the food is good. Order your food to go or you won't see your food for an hour.
