A San Jose Gem
by Kat E at Citysearch
This shop is San Jose history. Fiancee and I went there and we liked looking at all the historical and interesting stuff: rare coins, silver , jewelery, antique photo post cards of local places, etc.. It's like a mini museum full of precious and cool things you can buy. You could spend the whole day here and still not take it all in. It is a family owned business. They have been around a long time. (Moses probably shopped there.) They are knowledgeable and helpful to the point that they will even refer you to other places if it makes more sense for you. I noticed every customer and vendor that walked in that front door was smiling, happy to be there and greeted by the owners like old friends. The atmosphere is "laid back" and friendly. It was our first time there and it was the BEST experience I have ever had in a coin shop. This is what it used to be like to do business in San Jose. A place as special and unique as this is a rare thing to find these days. It's the opposite of the Starbucks "cookie cutter" businesses that are everywhere. What a pleasure to discover!
Honest, Professional Service and Some Great Deals Too!

Sal is a long-time coin dealer, going back to a time before slabbed coins. He has a passion for collecting and wealth of knowledge that makes him the "go to" source for coins, jewelry and collectables. Sal, along with his wife Barbara, and son Vince, operate an incredible shop in Willow Glen, one of the few "brick and mortar" coin shops left in the South Bay.
It is well worth a trip if you want to buy or sell coins, currency, jewelry or other collectables.
- Pros: Decades of Knowledge and an Amazing Inventory
- Cons: Somewhat cluttered, but that's half the fun!
Frendily and Knowledgeable

A few years ago, I visited four different coin shops. In three out of the four shops the people were not friendly at all. Only one shop had friendly and knowledgeable people. Sal and Vince at Falcone Coins and Collectibles are the guys that I go to buy collectibles for me and my kids. They exceeded my expectations with their knowledge. Just head to downtown Willow Glenn and have some fun with your kids and invest in your future.
- Pros: Good Selection / Knowledge
- Cons: Too Busy to provide time to all Customers

I was riffed 10 months ago and found myself in a very large pool of talent that wasn?t moving back into the work force easily.
I had to tighten my belt in many ways, including selling off any items of immediate value that I could to make ends meet.
I had some old coins given to me by a relative and brought them to Falcone coins & jewelry. I met Vince there and was treated with respect and kindness. He was a real professional and I would highly recommend anyone to come in if they have the need to trade or sell coins, gold & silver, old toys, old postcards, etc. Thank you for going the extra mile for me turning my jewelry around.:))
- Pros: Quick, Courteous , Professional
- Cons: none noted
