Cozy barbecue restaurant serves a selection of slow cooked meats including beef or pork ribs and offers salads and potato salad.. In Short
Don't be fooled by the small size of the restaurant, or the five tables inside. Although the restaurant may be tiny, the food is big on flavor serving ribs, hot links, chicken and homemade barbecue sauce. The often overlooked restaurant is owned by Japanese-Americans who specialize in saucy, home style, slow-cooked barbecue accompanied by potato salad, beans, iceberg lettuce salad and ice cold beer.

I drool just thinking about it.... Basically, I dont know of a better BBQ joint in the south bay. The neat thing is that you dont HAVE to have a gut-busting meal every time. The sandwiches are just as good. I go there every time I'm in the area.

Before visiting, be aware that JC's bbq sauce is slightly sour in flavor. I really like it, but fans of the sweet variety might not. Also note that drinks are sold by individual cans or bottles, not by fountain.

The ONE Place I Always Refer People To!. If I hadn't moved away from the Bay Area, I'd probably be eating here at least once every 2 weeks (I have before) because this place is one of the best BBQ places around! Especially if your rating this place on value: food and price. I started going here back in the mid 90's, and I've lured in/referred so many people to JC's - to the point, I deserve at least 1 free meal from them for all the publicity and referrals I've created for this place, but I'd jus' be happy to be able to get to JC's any chance I get. Also, if your wanting to know how this place compares to commercial chains? Its better, but it doesn't deliver on atmosphere or gimmicks.

Good to go.. JC's Bar-B-Que pork ribs has a nice tender texture and a very nice sauce that gives it a special something that makes you want to come back again. Give it a try...You'll see!!!

The best!. JC's may not be the biggest or fanciest, with a small storefront location, but it is without a doubt "The Best!" I've been visiting JC's for over 15 years and the quality of the food has never changed - always finger-licking good. No choices for sauce, but with stuff this good who needs choices?
