The Food
Before designer pie places, Round Table was the indisputable pizza king. As much as we enjoy the fancier pizza makers like Applewood, the definition of pizza remains Round Table. The ingredients are fresh and the dough is hand-tossed. This pepperoni pizza simply has no peers. The new "Supreme" line (at least it's new to those of us who've been eating Round Table since the 70s) has some good options: try the King Arthur Supreme (heavy on the meat) or the Veggie Supreme with lots of greens and a white sauce (order it with regular pizza sauce instead and dip it in ranch dressing).

The Scene
The older Round Tables are dark and wooden, with juke boxes in the corner and a video game or two. Newer ones, though, seem to have a more cafeteria-like atmosphere to them, making us want to order our pizzas to go.
