The Scene
It all began when Pierre Pellier arrived in the fertile Santa Clara Valley in 1854 and planted the varietal cuttings he had carried with him from France. At its current location since 1937, today, fifth- and sixth-generation descendents continue the tradition of fine winemaking that Pellier began.
The Details
You can taste a broad selection of the premium wines in the spacious tasting room. Fom May through September, you can rent two areas for wedding ceremonies and receptions up to 175 people. The first is an intimate, covered patio encircled by ferns and other greenery. The second, available only for receptions, is a tree-shaded, open-air paved garden, with a full service kitchen. There is no curfew, and receptions are booked in five-hour slots. Tables, chairs and pouring staff are included in the basic packages, and wines are included in your menu. No outside caterers are allowed, but the chef can create a customized menu, and provide staff, table linens, china, glassware and utensils.
