I disagree.... I just want to say that my girl and I have been going to the Agenda for a while and we've had a lot of good times. We love the food there and we enjoy sitting on the patio listening to the jazz bands. A lot of times we stick around and hang out in the club to dance. Yeah the crowd isn't always the greatest, but it's no different from the crowd at the other clubs. As for the cops hanging out front at the end of the night...well it is downtown, so I would rather they're there than not. We actually feel safer that way. Overall we had a great time and we'll be back.

Ditto. I agree with the "NOT Fun" review. In addition to the "shady" crowd it was suffocatinngly hot upstairs and the establishment was too cheap to turn on the AC, did they leave it off on purpose to make people leave so they could let more people in and collect more cover charge?! Or both!! (Insider's tip- it's both)

Not fun. I used to go to the Agenda every weekend. What's changed? EVERYTHING. The food is sub par. The service. You can't even find your server to BEG for it. Free admission to the nightclub with dinner? Who cares. The owners seem to be catering to a worse crowd each week. They've got plenty of security, but it doesn't keep me feeling safe. The only good thing about the place is the bald bartender upstairs. He's been there for years. Always quick and friendly. Ever wonder why there are so many police cars lined up on the streets on weekend nights? Look at the crowd out front of Agenda. You'll see why.

lackluster food with the jazz. I went to the Agenda on a Saturday night and sat on the patio to listen to the live jazz while having dinner. Except for the bread basket (which is good and filled with a variety of breads, including crispy crackers, focaccia, and sourdough), the food was very disappointing. At our table, we ordered 3 pastas and all were bland and overcooked (not al dente). The tuna tartare appetizer was good in portion, but the fish was not fresh and it was way too spicy. Desserts were unimaginative (mud pie, banana cream pie) and average tasting as well.

The upsides are the atmosphere (the patio jazz) and prices. Except for a steak priced at $25, all entrees were $10-17, most hovering around $12. However, some of the appetizers were just as expensive (around the $9-12 range).

Agenda. I ate at Agenda for the first time this weekend while in town for a meeting. I was not overly impressed. The service was horrendously slow (and it was not busy). The outdoor patio is so-so, the music was so loud no one could speak. Food was very good and value was good, but I doubt I'd go back with so many other great places to try.

Nice atmosphere and great food. This spot seems to be "undiscovered" as a restaurant as it is still not packed on weekday evenings. The food is really good. I had the pumpkin raviolis and my husband had the porkchop. Both were very good. They also have an extensive wine selection and the service was excellent.

Make this your Agenda. Affodable, comfortable, and east to get to. You can't go wrong here.

Great Place to meet!. The Agenda has a wonderful mixologist and great food along with a fab atmosphere. During the spring/summer months they make an incredible "Fruit Infused Martini", had one during the summer made from peaches. To die for.

Disappointed. Bad overall.. We sat in a parking line for 2 hours and then got into a terrible screaming match with 3 people. We spent 3 hours total in the parking lot. Everyone was yelling and cursing. The theater seems to allow cell phones. 4 people received and ANSWERED their calls during the movie. I was appalled.

Go To The Early Shows. We live in the neighborhood and love to go to this theater. But parking and access off I-10 anytime after 8:00pm is a real experience. We go to the early evening and maybe the afternoon showings. Great place to hang out and people-watch in the adjoining mall. Food? Adobe OK; Surfer's Paradise Ugh; Red Robin OK. Try to eat before you go to the movie. The theater has good popcorn, though.Final Word: better than most Houston theater places.
