This popular East Coast style pizzeria features brick-oven baked, thin-crust pizza with a wide array of inventive toppings..
In Short
A popular destination for young professionals and East Coast transplants, this pizzeria is known for its brick-oven baked, New York style pizzas. To accentuate the thin, crispy yet chewy crusts, pizzas come with less sauce and cheese than typically found on pizzas in California. Toppings include traditional options, such as pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and tomatoes. A wide array of more inventive options are also available, including clams, garlic, bacon and lemon oil.
Just like John's in The Village. Finding this great pie made my trip to the Mtn. View street fair very worthwhile.
amici's amore. I finally found the ultimately thin crust, which is crisp without being too dry. A friend whose epicurean knowledge is usually trustworthy suggested the Pesto pizza. Momma mia, was I disappointed: no discernable garlic, nor basil for that matter; in fact, the topping seemed a lot like parsley moistened with olive oil, and not even an EVO vlariety. A side of tomato sauce was also flavorless. In this age when less is presumably more, none is still nothing. C'mon Acmici's, turn up the flavor.
not bad. there pizza's are a little greasy for the new yorker but the crust is good
THIN IS IN.
I grew up in Pittsburgh where Pizza is a gourmet food... I mean the best in the world comes from all the mom and pop resturants. I detest chain store pizza.
When I came to California I had pizza withdrawal until I went to Amicis. I think the right words to describe Amicis is flavor intensity. More flavour, less filling. I love it for lunch. The meatball topping is to die for. Just order a large. If you like thin crust pizza there is no finer.
Great Pizza. Great thin pizza. The New York pizza is great. Pretty close to authentic Italian pizza.
