Wonderful Salon

Having just moved to Los Gatos and having to sift through literally dozens of salons in this town, I stumbled upon Nirvana Aveda Concept Salon. Raymond was recommended to me over the phone and could not have been more pleased. He really took his time to listen and make awesome suggestions. Everyone there was very welcoming. With so many salons to choose from, I will be back!

Hair Like A Wet Dog!

A positive to start. I did walk out really liking my high lights & the girl who did my hair was Kristin & she was super nice & looked like a model. She was great at the hightlights & head massage too.

I was a new client & have just moved to the area. I looked them up on the Aveda website. I have been using Aveda salons exclusivley for about 6 years. I had a position that had me travel the US & Aveda's were in every city I went.

I just moved to the area & can have a consistent salon finally. I went into Nirvanna & one of the first things the receptionist told me when she confirmed I was new was that my hair would NOT BE BLOW DRYED at the end of my COLOR/HIGHLIGHTS!!! I thought um because of time? But I scheduled this prior. She said because at that salon they charge extra for a BLOW DRY even with all the services but that if I got a haircut I would get one with that! So in other workds only if I spent like almost $300.00 total! Um that sounds like Hair Masters or Super Cuts crap. I was going to be spending $200.00++(because I have hair to the middle of my back) & would walk out looking like a DOG you have got to be kidding me??!! Keep in mind that I have been to Avedas in propobably 20 different states & tons of different cities! Wow I was shocked! I had planned my salon trip before I had plans so I had NO OTHER choice but to ADD A HAIRCUT....so I would not look crazy as I did not have time to run home & dry it......so stupid! I have never experienced that ever!

My highlight color is amazing! But everyone keeps asking me if I'm wearing extensions though because the top of my hair & the bottom are not in Unision AT ALL. Dark & light & the hair cut long layers does not blend....layers then none at the bottom its weird that they would let me walk out looking like this. I wish she would have put a few in the bottom so it blended. I went to the Chakra Aveda in downtown San Fran & they did that & it was amazing. I would have just went to the San Fran one because the guy named Brandon or Brian did such an amazing job but I figured this time I'd give the one close to my house a shot plus Brandon was out on Maternity leave because his girlfriend had their baby : (

I have an appointment coming up soon & I think I'm going to cancel because the blow dry thing is such a deal breaker. If that was not there I would probably give them one more shot because the location is so good for me. You all lost a potential long term client who recommends lots of friends. I never write reviews but felt I should on this one so the managers/owners can fix some stuff. It may seem harsh but It's only all the truth.

P.S. I did not know that I could NOT pay my tip on my card. The lady a the desk did apologize for not letting me know ahead of time. I had plans & left feeling so horrible because I did not have time to go to the bank to get money for a tip. Sad.

Truly Nirvana for Men's Hair Fashion

I've been getting my hair styled rather than "cut" since I was a young teenager. This hasn't always been easy. Finding a place that has experienced hair stylists and know how to cut men's hair is not as straight forward as on might think. If you think that money will solve the problem, you'd be wrong again. A high price does not equate with high quality particularly when considering hair stylists. If you don't know how to cut men's hair, receiving a lot of money for the task will not endow you with the skill to acutally perform the work. Nirvana seems to have solved this dilemma for me. I can get a great style at a reasonable price. Stated simply, it works. I'll be going back, and trying to convince my family members to do the same.

great salon for hair

I aways get a great cut from Kayla. The great cut makes it easy for me to syle my hair at home. I really apapreciate the email appointment reminders and the Sunday Appointments.

Awesome salon with great stylists!

This is my favorite salon ever! They have the best staff and stylists that are so friendly, talented, and naturally nice. I love that it is certified green and doesn't smell like the average perm and nail salon. They offer great color services using Aveda haircolor and also sell only Aveda products. I highly recommend!
