Average Dining Experience. This was my first time at the restaurant. the atmosphere was pleasant but sometimes a bit noisy due to the blender being used behind the booth where I sat. I had the Roti Prata, Pineapple Fried Rice, Mango Chicken and Panang Sizzling Chicken. The food was average, the service was good. The manager was kind enough to bring a complimentary dessert consisting of Fried Banana and Mango Ice Cream. My advice is if you want some excellent food of the same type of fare, head over to the Coconut Grove @ The Great Mall.

Great family restaurant. this is a regular place for our family. the food is great and awesome service. The only downside is a 20 minute and no option to make a reservation in advance

Bad Manager Oliver. "I like the food. But the service from the manager Oliver is very bad. We had finished our meal and had just paid. We had not been sitting there more then 5 minutes and the manager Oliver told us we would have to leave. He need the table for other people. I could see him asking this if we had been sitting there along time. Very strange don't think anyone in my party of 6 will be going back there."

Spicy Goodness. This is one of my favorite restaurants. The Roti Prata and dipping sauce and the green vegetable curry are my favorite 2 items. They also have good mixed drinks, I like the frozen pina colada. I have eaten there many times and every time I have had very good service every time and never had to wait. I usually eat there on weekends.

indecent & Horrible Service. The food is good...But the Service is REALLY Bad Bad..

IF YOU DON'T TIP 8% TIP FOR THE FOOD.. THEY COME RUNNING BEHIND YOU WHICH IS IDOITIC ..

Recently I had gone to the restaurant & I tipped them about 5% & the manager of the restaurant came running to my car & asked me to tip more.. I refused to tip him more..So indecent ..

I hated it all

NEVER go to the restaurant...STRONG RECOMMENDATION!!!

Good malasian food. The place is a madhouse and the tables are close to each other, but the food is worth it.

Roti Prata- buttery, flaky and delicious, especially with the sauce.

Pineapple fried rice- awesome combination of sweet, spicy, tangy and salty.

Redang Curry- super tender meat in a very flavorful sauce. Yum!

A definite go-to restaurant in Milpitas.

Can we say....horrible service?. Very noisy, tables are too close, and the staff is horrible. Didn't give me water until I asked for it, and they simply "forgot" one of our orders. We had to wait an extra 45 minutes until they put our orders in. The food didn't arrive together. My boyfriend ended up waiting another 10 minutes for his food, when everyone else got theirs. The wait totally ruined our night. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Average food, horrible service!!!!. I've had much better malaysian food, but for the area, it's okay. After hearing good things, my friends and I decided to give it a try. For a table of four we waited a total of one hour to be seated, and another one hour for our food to arrive (and this was lunch). The table next to us were seated after us, but got their food before, and left, when our food wasn't even ready. After complaining to the owner, he gave us free dessert for this time and next.

We thought maybe it was just a bad day for them, and decided to go a second time. Again, the service was horrible. We were seated promptly this time, and the food came in a timely manner. When we were halfway through the meal, the waiter came with our checks. They clearly wanted us out of there, and it was only 8:30!!! I will not go back.

Great Malaysian food. BAnana Leaf is a popular restaurant in the Milpitas area. I had visited the restaurant a few years ago and the food has always been amazing. I loved the roti paratha appetizer and the mango shrimp entree. Most of the food on the menu is great as we always ordered family style and got to taste a little of everything.

The down side of this restaurant is that the tables are cafeteria style. The place is too noisy and cramped and you have to wait long to get a seat (due to the crowds in the evening). You pretty much sit elbow to elbow with strangers. The service is ok but overall the food is the best part.

Great experience. My husband and I were visiting the area for business. We were told to check out Banana Leaf and we were so glad we did. The food was wonderful, fresh and reasonably priced. Service was fast and friendly. Bryant, our server was knowledgable and readily offered up suggestions. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely return.
