Fun place for Thai with friends. Good place for simple Thai in downtown Palo Alto.

Best Beef Satay Ever!. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We did take-out. The service was prompt, we ordered chicken pad-thai which was good, as well as the spring rolls, which tasted fresh. The best dish was the beef satay though! They give you large pieces of beef, which are very tender and delicous! The peanut sauce is also very good, very creamy...not the sauce and oil separated that you sometimes find at other places.

Extremely fresh, flavorful pan-asian cuisine. Although the prices have gone up a bit since Thaiphoon took over from the original Thai restaurant in this location, the food is still outstanding. Extremely fresh meat and veggies, real prawns, authentic sauces. The curry dipping sauce that comes with the Roti prata is outstanding! You can find something to please almost any palate, from conservative to the most adventurous. Especially good are the salmon curry and the tom ka gai soup!

Delicious Thai Food. My boyfriend and I read a few reviews about Thai restaurants in the Palo Alto area before deciding on this one, and we're glad we did! We started with the shrimp spring rolls and they were fresh and delicious and came with 3 great sauces. For dinner we had the red curry and green curry, both flavorful and the perfect balance of vegetables and chicken. A word of caution, we both enjoy spicy food and ordered our entrees "5 star." Even for heat-lovers, this was a bit too spicy for us. We were sweating bullets. If you enjoy spicy, I would recommend ordering 3 star. It is still spicy without overpowering the food. The service was also friendly and prompt.

This Thaiphoon is hot. I was there with my girl friend. We had Fresh Spring Rolls with shrimps for appertizer, then we had stir fried Mango Chicken with cashew and Panang Beef Curry. The food was wonderful. For beverage, my girl friend had Tango with Mango cocktail, I had me a large 20 oz. of Singha Thai beer. We highly recommend this place. It's been open for 6 months. We cannot wait to go back again soon.
