Not a place for events. I have been reviewing hotels to host a personal event and the Cypress seemed like the spot to go to. Well trying to get anyone from catering/events to speak with you is a nightmare! I went with another hotel instead and we had a great time. I just found out that a friend's company tried to arrange an event there and the company rep was stood up when she went for her scheduled appointment. Extremely Pleasant Experience. As soon as we walked in, the enjoyment began. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. We enjoyed the complimentary wine served in the lounge with other guests. The spacious rooms reflect the safari motif with a colorful array of leopard and zebra prints on the beds, floors and walls. Pleasantly surprised. I went their with my sig other for our anniversary - it was absolutely wonderful!! Everyone was very helpful and the restaurant - which is now called Park Place - was also very good. The room was beautiful and it had a lot of nice extra touches - bath robes, luxurious fabrics on the bed and windows and a great shower. We purchased the Simply Romantic package and for 189 we got the room, a free Jazz cd, a bottle of champagne, chocolates, a $50 credit to the restaurant, valet parking and a free movie. What a deal!! I'll definitely be staying there again - even though I only live in SF. They also have a business center, workout room and a pool - all great amenities!!…
