Not a place for events. I have been reviewing hotels to host a personal event and the Cypress seemed like the spot to go to. Well trying to get anyone from catering/events to speak with you is a nightmare! I went with another hotel instead and we had a great time. I just found out that a friend's company tried to arrange an event there and the company rep was stood up when she went for her scheduled appointment. Obvously the Cypress is not intersted in hosting events!

Extremely Pleasant Experience. As soon as we walked in, the enjoyment began. The staff was pleasant and welcoming. We enjoyed the complimentary wine served in the lounge with other guests. Our room was nice and the bed very comfortable. Their restaurant is fabulous. There is not one thing I could complain about. We had a great relaxing weekend.

Hip safari-themed boutique hotel caters to a vibrant young crowd and even the occasional rock star.. The Scene
Decidedly different from Silicon Valley standards, this chic nine-story hotel attracts business travelers during the week and couples looking for a local romantic getaway on weekends. The feel is not unlike that of a fancy bed-and-breakfast or an exclusive resort in some trendy destination spot. Still, it's only a 20-minute drive to most of Silicon Valley's high-tech centers and major tourist attractions.

The Details
Opened in 2002, this immaculate hotel is highlighted by a cozy lobby area with red velvet couches, a gas fireplace and views of a large outdoor fountain. The state-of-the-art fitness center features cardio machines equipped with individual remote-controlled televisions. Wireless Internet access is available on the hotel's first floor. The spacious rooms reflect the safari motif with a colorful array of leopard and zebra prints on the beds, floors and walls. The posh rooms each include high-speed Internet access, large work desk with ergonomic chair and leopard-print bathrobes.

Pleasantly surprised. I went their with my sig other for our anniversary - it was absolutely wonderful!! Everyone was very helpful and the restaurant - which is now called Park Place - was also very good. The room was beautiful and it had a lot of nice extra touches - bath robes, luxurious fabrics on the bed and windows and a great shower. We purchased the Simply Romantic package and for 189 we got the room, a free Jazz cd, a bottle of champagne, chocolates, a $50 credit to the restaurant, valet parking and a free movie. What a deal!! I'll definitely be staying there again - even though I only live in SF. They also have a business center, workout room and a pool - all great amenities!!

charming. before i visited the hotel personally, i thought the hotel must be very expensive (based on what i've seen from its website) because it just looked so charming from the website. after i visited the hotel restaurant Helios, i was so impressed with the atmosphere, i decided to have my guests staying at the hotel for my wedding. it was an excellent choice. everyone was so surprised to stay at this unique hotel. cypress has its own character and is unlike any other usual hotels you've stayed. and i got lots of compliments for choosing cypress.
