Tips for Thai Chili Cuisine

Best thai food I have tasted. Best Thai food I have tasted, though have to admit my sample set is fairly small. Better than amarin thai, thai basil, and similar. Plus its a hidden gem, so very sparse crowd. Best of all is the fact that so many good options are there for vegetarians.

Neighborhood Thai restaurant: good food, good atmosphere, good prices, friendly staff. Unlike reviewers writing long reviews using words like "connoisseur", I only claim to be a simple lover of Thai food. My experience with Thai restaurants does include eateries in Bangkok, Pattaya Beach, London, Brisbane, Hilo, Atlanta, San Francisco and Santa Clara. Thai Chili is an outstanding neighborhood restaurant without pretensions. The staff and owners are friendly and informal, although somewhat casual. Timing of dishes from the kitchen to various guests at the tables can be improved. The menu is extensive, providing a full range of authentic Thai dishes. The lunch special menu includes soup, salad and choice of 24 dishes with various meats or vegetarian style. At $6.95 this is a real bargain! They use fresh ingredients, well flavored with traditional herbs and spices. I am happy with 'medium hot' but one lunchtime companion ordered 'hot hot' and was quite satisfied.

COMPLETE DISREGARD FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE (1). DO NOT GO HERE!!! Why eat here, when there are much better options out there?

First off, to preface this review, you should know that I am a Thai food connoisseur. I have read about plenty about Thai cooking and as a consultant, I travel a lot, always eating out on my company?s dime. As a result, I have reviewed all the Thai restaurants in some cities.

Thai Chili?s food was bland in my opinion, BUT THAT WAS NOT THE WORST THING ABOUT THIS PLACE. Read below, as I talk about the service. While the flavors were in decent proportion, and if you were to compare it something that is meant to have delicate flavors ? then it was delicious. However, Thai food is about sharp contrast in flavors. On a scale of 1 to 10, I ordered 13 as I expected that it may not be spicy enough. Nonetheless, it was still too mild and I needed to add raw Thai chili on top (which I later was charged 2.50 for). Despite my emphasis in my request for intensity, they failed to deliver.

Though the food was not certainly not the worst, and still fairly flavorful and balanced, the SERVICE was simply UNACCEPTABLE. The waitress forgot who ordered what, but worst yet, we went in a group and at the end she refused to split the check. Typically at most restaurants, if you want to split the check into 2 or even 4, some reasonable amount, it is not an issue ? that is just good customer service. The manager came out and said we can?t do that ? I was like why? The restaurant had very few patrons so clearly there was time. He said he can put amounts on different credit cards, but if I and my wife wanted to pay just for our order, we couldn?t. I asked, we ordered 2 dishes, 7.95 each, why can?t we get a receipt that shows that and pay it. He said you can?t. I am like, if we came in separately, you would allow this ? but just because we sat near each other you are not?

COMPLETE DISREGARD FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE (2). CONTINUING >>>>

The worst thing is he didn?t understand this. He couldn?t argue back, as again, he had no logical reason to deny this. I am like this is unreasonable ? he looks at me and says you are being unreasonable. I told him this is perfectly normal and everyone allows this, and that he would get his total, and hell even 18% gratuity. He?s like no they don?t. Then I was like lets call somewhere, pull out my phone and began dialing ? and he was like we are just a small restaurant trying to survive. Big restaurants can do this. Well buddy, if you are a small restaurant treat the few customers that actually show up at your place well. If you are trying to survive, how can you afford to lose a group of customers over something so silly.

Moreover, he had a coupon posted on his website for $5 off two entrees. That night he was like we allow only 1 per night. I am like for every customer here tonight, he?s like ?Yes?. Our group had over several entrees, plus other customers there as well that saw the coupon. The very next morning, I saw the coupon was taken off the site. When asking to redeem the coupon, he said ?we can?t just give food away for free.? Again, it is shocking how this restaurant operates when first the dishes are overpriced (8.95 for a curry, which in the city you can get for 5.95 or 6.95), and on 2 of them (18 bucks) you deduct 5 bucks, its all of a sudden free? I have yet to see 13 = 0 in any math textbook and the average of 6.50 a plate is certainly not low in the area.

Anyways, this place is not worth your time ? the close by Dusita seems to have a better shot (though I have never been there). The city definitely has much better places.

Small family restaurant. Good Thai food, cozy dining room. The restaurant is good for lunch and weekend dining. Price is fairly competitve.

So good I've considered marrying the owner.... Thai is one of my favorites if done right. I often eat at Thai Basil or Krung Thai, but since I found TC I've forgotten them all.

Tanya's cooks create delicious entrees that don't break the bank. They vary the spiciness as well; many just dump in handfuls if you want it hotter. The Mussaman curry is excellent, with tender lean chunks of beef, every time I go in I order this. Salmon dishes are likewise exquisite, everything I've tried is very good.

I've converted many friends to Chile junkies simply by going for lunch. One visit and they're hooked. The comment I hear most often is "wow, this is the best Thai food I've eaten." My company is even looking into having her cater for our engineers.

For excellent dining with a fun, friendly atmosphere (and at an affordable price), look no further than TC. I've never been disappointed.

I'm coming back!. This is the best Thai food in the Bay area. I enjoyed everything, tasty food, friendly environment and excellent service. I enjoy Panang curry and Prik Khing. This place is truly hidden gem in the valley. I would recommend to anyone

who truly enjoy genuine Thai food. It has romantic fancy environment

and the food is excellent. Need I say more. Go and enjoy wonderful Thai food.

Best Thai Food in Town!. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening with all the pleasantries and tasty treats from Thailand. This place is small, but quite cozy with a relaxing atmosphere. It is decorated in traditional Thai style with the waitresses dressed in beautiful and colorful costumes. The food is delicious and suited to everyone's tastes with mild to spicy options on the menu. I especially enjoyed the Chicken Satay appetizer with peanut sauce. Service was friendly and very helpful. We used a coupon that helped defray the cost with no problem. Overall, we had a very delightful evening at our new favorite Thai restaurant.
