The country's first drive-thru chain with made-from-scratch burgers and a devout following..
In Short
Founded in 1948, In-N-Out locations are known for their eye-catching yellow-arrow logo and spic-and-span red and white interiors. The streamlined menu includes fries, beverages and three types of hamburgers. These all-beef burgers are topped with fresh vegetables and Thousand Island-like dressing on griddled buns with optional American cheese; fries--oversized potatoes with the skins still on--are dunked in cholesterol-free cottonseed oil until just the outsides are done.

Very Average.
Burgers are average, but better if you get them "animal style". Fries are horrid, not hot not fully cooked. Order fries "well done" to make them better.
