Maybe Elvis had a bad day? We loved our bus trip. The Bus came from San Jose to Greenfield (3 hours) picked up families, went to Gonzales (30 minutes) picked up families, went to Salinas (30 minutes) picked up familes and then drove all 40 people to the Mission Cultural Center in San Francisco to a show of art and music. Then 3 hours later, the bus picked up everyone and drove them back to their towns and then back home to San Jose. This was last Feb. maybe there has been a change in employment or management, but we totally enjoyed the kindness of the driver and the consideration of the company, even with short notice. First Night Monterey Artworks! Outreach and the Arts Council for Monterey County booked the bus.
Horrible, absoluetly Horrible.. We reserved our bus 4 months ahead . We then Paid the balance in Full by a Cashiers Check 10 days prior to our trip & followed that up with an email to confirm that they received our money & that we were on schedule. We received a written confirmation on the Monday prior to our Saturday event that everything was a go and that all monies were received. Every email I sent to this company had my contact/cell# on it so that if there were any prolems I was to be callled. We had our group arrive by 7:30am on 9/27/8 so that we would all be there and ready when the bus arrived at 8:00AM-our scheduled start time. No bus showed up &no phone call. When I called their numbers all I got were answering machines. By 9am I was working on getting another company out and by then we are off our schedule for our wine tour, still no contact from Elvis Charters. Finally at 9:10 the bus shows up with the excuse that the original driver did not show to work, still no call from management to explain or apologize. At this point we loaded and made the best of the day but were over an hour behind schedule so we missed half of our scheduled activities at our first stop. It is now Tuesday, 9/30/8 and we still have received no call back from the owners or managers at Elvis Charters even though we have left messages stating that we need to discuss this matter and come to a conclusion as to when they are going to refund us the hour plus that we paid for that they did not show up for. Also, we have cost incurred at our first stop that we lost by not being there and we need that to be taken care of. So, no, do not book your trip that you are working so very hard on and that you will have 35-45 people looking at you for answers when your bus company dosn't show up, call you or answer their phones. Call West Coast Charters- they stepped up & were going to get a bus out to us ASAP & when our bus showed up they were very gracious & happy that we were going to get going on our trip.
