Good for ala carte. One of the oldest Indian restaurants in Bay area. No buffet.. Usually busy at lunch. Good choices of S.Indian vegatarian food. One of the the Indian spots which is is open late for dinner.

Editorial Review. Large restaurant complete with two banquet halls and a stage for live music performances serves traditional spicy South Indian dishes.

I love Pasand. I first had Pasand seventeen years ago when I was a teenager. I love this restaraunt. It is still my favorite!

Delicious food, great prices. Great North and South Indian! You can get a delicious dosa and an idli sambar for around $6! Or you can get a standard dish (I love the chole and veg. korma) plus rice and bread for about $8. These dishes go for about $12 at most other restaurants.

Are you a beginner?. Pasand is the perfect place to "learn" to eat Indian. Everything is really tasty and you get to train your palette to adjust to the Indian spices. I am still a novice Indian food fan so if you are still afraid of the "curry" monster..this place will set you straight. Go at lunch at get a lunch special- Masala Dosa or Shrimp Curry!! Under $7.00!
