Tips for Blue Mango

Love it!. Although Thai food in America never compares to the sidewalk stalls in Thailand, I think Blue Mango does a pretty good job. Although not everything they serve is Thai (they have some new creations of their own ie the creamcheese wonton-very very good), I love most of their dishes. I would recommend to you the coconut soup (thom kah) hmmm, and try to save room for desert! I sometimes do take out just so that I won't be tempted by it, but sometimes it's just too hard to resist. For main course, I love the Seafood Feast!

I haven't been here since it first opened (moved out of town, but just returned) and it's changed lots. The restaurant is much busier, but their staff has greatly incresed to accomodate. I can't remember what the food use to taste like, but I remember I liked it back then too. There are many more items on the menu. The place still looks the same though, and I love the huge painting of the temple in the middle of the room. PS if you want to know what's really good there, ask the waitress what she had there last or will have that evening.

Overrated. I found this place is not as good as its rating. I'm Thai, and I'm not going back there again. There are many better thai restaurants out there.

Editorial Review. Softly-lit, often-crowded Thai fusion restaurant boasts a large number of vegetarian selections and a unique fruit-laden dessert menu.

Good Thai Food but Slow Service. I've heard about this place and decided to stop in and try out the Blue Mango. They offer a good variety of food options here and the appetizers and the prices are reasonable. The serve the food Family Style and expect to pay around $5-$10 for Appetizers and for Plates $8 - $14. Portion sizes are decent. They do a good job in flavoring and the curry was done with just enough spiciness for me.

Though the food was good the service was slow. We waited about 30 minutes before we were seated and then 15 minutes for our order. But once our order was taken the food came out very quickly. There is also limited parking.

Overall, I would come back here again because of the good food and reasonable prices and will hope the slow service was due to coming on a busy night.

Best Thai food. Thai food are very tasteful, delicious, creamy but not fatty rich. Each menu has its own distinctive flavor and aroma that differs from the other. It's very different from chinese food that just garlic/onion/salt/pepper/soy sauce - saute all meus, ohh some are deep fried. I would say that this restaurant makes good Thai food and excellent price. Probably not elegant dining but for someon who does not cook like me, this one goes on my daily list.

excellent food. My waitress was nice. We got the Bangkok Platter which has an appetizer tray, which was good. Great peanut sauce! I got the pad tahi noodles which was tasty, and the pking pork which was a little different for me but still good. they even have brown rice option. Our dessert was a chocolate pyramid which was a perfect ending.

Too much hype.... Overpriced small plates and superbly slow service. What started out as a much-anticipated Thai food adventure ended in sore disappointment. The spicy noodles were clumpy, the spinach and mushrooms too salty, and the basil chili chicken was just underwhelming. The tom yum soup was ok but definitely not Bay Area's best. The mango samosa is a creative take on mango and sticky rice but definitely not worth our 20-minute wait.

Best desert you would ever have. We went to Blue Mango twice, had different stuff from the veggie menu, ranging from appetizers to desert..on both occasions, the food was ok, but what makes us keep going back is their desert menu. We had Mango samosas, which was the most amazing desert for someone who even slightly likes the taste of pineapple, coconut and mangoes

Pretty good!. This place is a pretty good Thai food restuarant. The service was good, everybody was very nice and friendly, and I guess it made the food good too.
