Very Greasy Food. Priced ok, but not tasty and very greasy - pass on this one. Service was quick, and staff friendly but that does not make up for the quality of food.

Good and fast downtown. I've tried this place for lunch and dinner. Both times very pleased. There's a wide variety of everything but I advise start with the chicken as in the namesake. But I aso watched my daughter eat a nice cioppino and it was well worth the price (between 14 and 15 dollars) It's downtown but at night I never had a parking problem and day time there's a parking structure nearby.

The service is ok, no problem. There's adequate seating too. Seems like a place you could depend on for a quick, filling meal.

The BEST, you cannot go wrong at Sonoma Chicken Coop!. We highly recommend Sonoma! The food is incredible, and service is amazing...rarely do I feel so catered to. Hats off to the chefs! Everyone is so attentive, polite, and fast. We go a couple times a week and have tried the chicken with lemon vinegarette-PHENOMENAL, we crave it, pasta specials, salads, salmon, desserts... everything so far has been absolutely delicious. We have tried something new each time, and each time we have left even more impressed. The menu offers a huge variety of wonderful meals-not just chicken- that come beautifully decorated and perfectly portioned, and specials changing daily. Our new favorite! And it's inexpensive.

Best Desserts. I love the dessert and this place has the best! Bread pudding, Fondue, and so many more to choose form. Plus the prices are all aroun $6. The food is great, great atmosphere at night.

Great lunch spot for downtown SJ!. The menu is great - lots of variety to suit your cravings. Everything I've had has been delicious. Some of my favorites are their rotisserie chicken (with the vinagrette sauce), all of their salads are delicious (especially their roast chicken walnut salad, citrus grove salad & the tropical chicken salad), pork chop, skirt steak. There's plenty of seating and the staff are very friendly and helpful and the restaurant is clean. The portions are plentiful & they also have a variety of sides to compliment their meals (I ususally asked for some green beans). There's usually a line at lunch, but it moves very quickly & there's usually someone passing out slices of their free pizza while you wait!

Having worked in downtown SJ for 4 years, this place is a staple & I wish it showed up sooner! I could eat here for lunch 2-3 times a week and not get sick of it.

I wasn't impressed.. The chicken was greasy. A sign of inexpensive ingredients to begin with. A somewhat burnt tasting demi glaze of cherries covered a slightly over cooked pork chop. The sauces are well intended, however miss their mark. The front counter is a mad house. No organization what so ever. We asked for our order to go, and it was presented on plates. As we waited, I used the restroom only to find a member of the kitchen staff use then leave without the customary hand wash. I WAS NOT IMPRESSED and I wont be going back anytime soon.

I love this place.. Good, reasonably priced menu with healthy choices. Also, no-muss, no-fuss atmosphere: clean, plentiful seating, self serve drinks, etc.

Parking can be challenging, but it is located in a good spot downtown, close to the museum, etc.

The chocolate/raspberry parfait for dessert is what keeps me coming back. So friggen good. Plus, the rotisserie chicken is excellent, as are their salads.

Good alternative to the usual American fare for those who want some healthier alternatives and a little more variety.

Great bread slices. Well priced with friendly staff at both the Campbell and downtown San Jose locations. The salads are so-so, a bit too much dressing at times, otherwise the rest of the food is good. They brew their own beer too.

great food for the price!. We ate at the new location in Campbell last night and the food was great, and lots of it! I had the skirt steak and my dad had the boneless riblets, TONS of meat and great flavor! He asked for the chipotle sauce on the side in case it was too spicy but it was perfect. Mom had the double cut pork chop, the cherry sauce on top was a perfect compliment. We all had dessert; I HIGHLY recommend the bananas with phylo, the warm rum sauce and accompanying cold ice cream makes a taste treat to remember. The prices can't be beat, we all enjoyed entrees of $10.99 or less. Outdoor seating for warm weather as well on Campbell Avenue. Just go, it's great food at a great price!

Great Lunch Time/Casual Dining!. This is a great place for either a lunch time bite or a casual dinner. The prices are reasonable (expect to pay anywhere between $7 - $15). Portion size are good here. Been here several times for a quick bite to eat (say before a Sharks Game) or for a late Saturday afternoon lunch. The salads, pizzas, and sandwiches are very reasonable. I had the pasta once and it was ok. If you go here, go for the chicken. The one bad thing about this place is seating is awful especially during lunch/dinner time. The best thing to do is to have a person do all the ordering and another person looking for seating. Also last thing to know, this is a cafateria style dinning, so you wait in line, place your order and they call you when your order is ready.
