They realy have great Buffalo wings and santa fe egg rolls. I get the BJ Favorite pizza. Those items to me are five stars. All of them are excellent. I had their meatloaf and that is a hit or miss. Sometimes it's mushy, sometimes it's salty, but most of the time it's okay. The jambalaya is the same. One time it's way too spicy and I was thinking who could every eat this. I told the waiter and they offer to replace it which was cool. I mainly go for my five star items. Those items are always good.
Good For Kids. Food is pretty good---not good for a diet though. Great for small kids--loud enough that you don't have to worry and nice sized booths. Very friendly service.
Great place, but the pizza is average.. This place had a fun vibe. The mixed drinks were great and priced accordingly. We waited much longer for our table then the hostesses said (it was a Saturday night). The bartender finally got us a table an hour and a half later. The salads and sandwhiches were tasty, but there is nothing special about the pizza. I have had much better deep dish.
not veggie-friendly. If you are a vegetarian, don't waste your time here. It has your typical TGIFriday's sort of menu -- totally meat-themed.
A chain microbrewery satisfies with comfort-food classics and award-winning beers..
The Scene
BJ's boasts a trendy reclaimed-barn look with vaulted redwood beams. Eclectic touches abound: Rococo mirrors sparkle against corrugated-iron walls, and the odd chandelier sprouts absentmindedly amid art-deco lamps. The bar boasts beer-label posters and the ubiquitous big-screen TV blaring games on ESPN.
The Food
The extensive, carb-loaded menu is perfect for soaking up those home brews. Bruschetta loaded with tomatoes is a favorite, and minestrone is stew-thick with a hint of oregano. Fish and chips have mixed results: Wedge-cut fries are seasoned and crispy, but the doughy, Blonde Ale-battered cod flounders without its tartar sauce. Pizzas are robust deep-dish pies. Spinach and artichoke dip is lusciously creamy--a perfect yin-yang experience when ordered with spicy blackened chicken in Alfredo sauce. For dessert, try a deep-dish Pizookie: The massive white-chocolate cookie comes studded with macadamias and topped with vanilla bean ice cream. A home-brewed root beer float makes for another sweet ending.
