In Short – A near-instant hit, this restaurant is a snazzy blend of New and Old World design with a sleek modern bar, billowing drapes in the dining room and a menu to match. Sauteed mussels and clams, wild mushroom empanadas and main courses like paella are in a mostly Spanish vein. But there are also more newfangled dishes like poblano-pepper pizza and fusion pastas.

it is ok.....the people who work there are good people.
Yelp the cheaty web site that for years was manipulating merchants forcing them to run paid adds is being sued by more than hundreds of merchants who were harrased by Yelp...........over years.
This is a great victory.

fun place for drinks, snacks, or a pricey dinner

it's a cool place - perhaps one of the more hip in mountain view, and it offers a good variety of food. the chocolate souffle dessert is one of my faves. good live music and a nice happy hour that offers affordable drinks and appetizers.

I went to Cascal on a first date and things couldn't have been any better. With our reservation, we were seated immediately. The bar was very crowded (where I was waiting for my date to arrive) but I still was served a drink within seconds of standing in the crowd. Impressive! After ordering, our food came quickly, but it wouldn't have mattered anyway because the atmoshere was so fun. Live Latin Jazz! Everything I tasted was exquisite including the Sangria. We ended up going back to Cascal on our second date with friends for drinks, and danced to the great music. So much fun, a must in Mountain View. I can't wait to go back again.

Great food, location and atmosphere

Very good dinner choice! The menu includes among others Spanish and Cuban specialties. The service is (most of the times) great. Try to avoid showing up without a reservation, or your wait will be utterly long; unless it is rather early, in which case you may be lucky and get a table. I'd say more, but you better go and see for yourself... bon appetite!!
