My kids like the school and their piano classes. My two kids are in the afterschool program. Both they loves the ark classes there, especially the Piano class. Nice teachers!

A good Chinese school with nice teachers and good textbooks. My kids have been in the afterschool program of this school for 2 years. They learnt lot from the school, and now they can speak fluent Chinese. The textbook they developed is a good fit for my chinldren.

Terrible School. My child has been taking weekend Chinese lessons. She is normally a good student and loves school. This school, however, she hates. The owner/manager is a good teacher, but she hardly ever teaches. She has several assistants that are terrible. The person that is there the most is very mean to my daughter. She is only 5 years old, but yells at her and even phyically hurt her by trying to forse her hand to hold a pencil a different way then she is used to holding it. I peaked in the class and witnessed her being very mean to the children. I pulled my child out that day. Stay away from this school

This is a terrible school!. Don't send your kids to New Concept Chinese School! Our son, who's in first grade, attended their after-school program for about 2 months, and it was the most terrible experience! The teachers don't care about the kids and let them run around without supervision. They don't even ask the parents to sign the kids out when they are picked up, so the security is lax. Also, we found out right before we pulled our son out of this school that his teacher struck him several times! Once it was for allegedly dropping some scraps of paper on the floor and not picking them up, and other times for writing his Chinese lessons too slowly! She didn't strike him hard enough to leave marks or anything, but it's still wrong (and probably illegal). I don't have one good thing to say about this school except their tuition is cheaper than other programs in the area. We learned the hard way that you get what you pay for.

warning: do not come to this school for your kids' sake. They change drivers from time to time, and you don't know who is going to pick up your kids next day. When their drivers cannot pick your kids up on some day, the director just forgot your kids and left them behind her mind. There are sur-charges on days when school is dismissed early, usually on Fridays, which I believe is very common but New Concept did not mention this surcharge until you get the bill sent home. Their playground is very small and ugly. If I care about my kids, I will not send my kids to such a school.
