Avoid. Before entering the restaurant me and my significant other were enjoying each other's company. Once stepping into the restaurant the hostess was not very nice. We made reservation to sit at a booth like two days in advance and they gave us seating in chairs. The food was ok. The enviroment was just okay.

I would not go back to this restaurant.

Only good thing was the chocolate dessert.

FABULOUS Service. never rude. if your sensative ,this is not the place for you.some say the owners are rude. and full of themselves.i would say there very humble.....and for those who take it offensively..maybe y'all are a lil hypersensative.the food is very well done, decore ROCKS.as well as the bartenders.nicole is extra FABULOUS...so if your NOT to sensative try seven and if you are ...GET SOME KLEENEX.or just plain RELAX...............

Good Food. Too Pricey. BAD ATTITUDE NEVER EVER GOING BACK. Had a going a way party with a group of 22 friends. Reservations were at 815pm but didnt get seated until 900pm. we didnt get an explanation why it took so long to set up the tables. finally got seated and looked at the menu the first time (by the way the menus were just typed on paper and put on a clip board). All I have to say is EXPEEEENSIVE. Starters were a bit pricey for small small portions. The bread that they sever was hard and cold. (keep in mind they have an automatic 18% gratutiy for parties of 6 or more) As the night progressed we all have ordered and got ower meals in about 25 min. Most of us ordered steaks. Not one came out cooked the way they wanted it to be cooked. I had the salmon. flavoring was on point but overly cooked and cam out very dry. 15 min after everyone get their meals the server started to offer us desserts. He started to offer their signature chocolate suflet. He said " if any one wants this dessert to order it now because it takes 15 min to make". no one had ordered it. one friend asked to see the menu and the server said " oh i was waiting to passit out to every one else at the same time" (with an attitude) once everyone look at the menu about 6 people ordered the chocolate suflet. after the first order of the suflet the server replied "REALLY" after the 4th person ordered it he started rolling his eyes at the table. he then went to place dessert spoons on the table instead of placeing it on the table, he simply plopped them in front of us. I complained o the manager and he did not offer anything in return for the delayed seating and bad attitude from the server. well you see where this is going. I WILL NEVER NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANY ONE.

Wouldn't go there again.... My husband and I went to Seven for a Friday night dinner. The server was cold, he didn't know much about the menu, and they were out of several dishes. The chairs are cheap and we felt like it was going to break. The food was alright, we've had better... nothing special just wanna be Fusion Cuisine that doesn't meet up to all the rave people are giving it. Oh, and let's not forget about the price... whoa... way too expensive for what you get and for the cheap decor and wanna be restaurante.

Wouldn't recommand Seven to anyone, unless they want to spend way too much for food and sit on crappy chairs.

Good times; better food!. Seven is one of my favorite restaurants in the Bay Area. It delivers gourmet-like flavors at a reasonable price and they know how to fancy up what would ordinarily be plain food. While the menu is small, I think they do this to focus their efforts to make sure that all dishes are prepared fresh. I love their halibut dishes, the bellinis, but I'm not a fan of any of their desserts. The service is typically good and things are served promptly. Note that there is a different menu offered in the bar.

will not go there again. when we were seated - the waiter told us that they were out of a couple of entrees already. They served us cold bread. when i suggested to the manager that "it would have been nice if the bread was warm" - he says - "I am sorry sir - but this is how we have been doing it" !!!!!!!

Anyway - I ordered a burger. the waiter comes back and says they are OUT OF FRIES !!!. how can a restaurant run out of fries?

overall i would rate the food - 7/10. Service - although i cannot rate it poor - becos they were prompt and polite - the waiters should be trained to better address customer feedback.

there are many good restaurants in san jose - If you happen to be in the HP Pavilion area - then sure - i would recommend Seven.

Great Food. Bad attitude.. The food is excellent. The owners have way too much attitude though. I eat there often. The food is excellent. It is very expensive. The burgers are the best ever and reasonably priced at around 10 bucks. The AHI is GREAT... just make sure you get it medium rare.

My only complaint is the ownership. I mean come on guys, you have a great restaurant it could be so much more if you guys were a little bit humble.

not that great. Seven has a limited menu the offers decent dishes. The food is not worth the price, I wouldn't come here if someone paid for my meal.

Slick and sophisticated, this hot spot serves a gussied-up New American menu to a young, night-on-the-town crowd.. In Short
With its bustling bar scene and stainless-steel decor, the lounge space feels like it's been airlifted from Manhattan. It's a hip, happening locale where all the 30-something cool kids hang out. The food has a clever twist on the familiar, guaranteeing substance to match the stylish surroundings. Items include an arugula salad with candied apples and blue cheese, oven-roasted chicken with Israeli couscous and pan-seared bass with parsley-butter sauce.
