Fantastic Experience. Went with friends this weekend and had a great time. The food is exceptional. Try the old delhi style chicken and the semolina shells. Also try the red dot drink The bar is extremely cool. I am definitely going to be a regular at Junnoon.
Great New Addition to Palo Alto. This place is definitely a great addition to Palo Alto. Unlike most the Indian food I've eaten in the Bay Area, this isn't oily or heavy. The food is extremely tasty and favorful with amazing sauces. You must try the chutneys, they're great and the breads are to die for. Also, the wait staff was excellent and extremely attentive. I discovered Junnoon while walking down University Ave last week and have already been there again over the weekend.
Loved it!. Finally an exotic Indian restaurant in the Bay Area. The bar has a chic New York feel to it - the music, the "LBW" drink, and the lounge were intoxicating. The food was phenomenal: definitely Indian food with a modern twist - spices in the chicken tikka were unique, the tandoori coconut halibut was memorable and the warm ginger chocolate cake to die for. Would highly recommend to get a high quality Indian food dining experience
Amazing Food, Great Ambience, Perfect Service. This is definitely one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the Valley. The food is truly amazing. They've managed to put togther the best from the Indian subcontinent. And compared to some of the other high-end restaurants it's definitely worth the money. The different flavors in the food are just great. The ambience is nice and our server was extremely nice and professional. Call ahead though because it's a very popular place and usually crowded. It's a definite must.
The best example of modern indian cuisine and ambiance in the bay area. Great new gem in PA. The food was really well done, from exquisite flavor to presentation. We heard the chef is from one the the hot London indian restaurants, and it showed. This place is a 360 degree turn from the other indian dining we've experienced, most of which lack in ambiance. No lacking ambiance here, as the decor, and service, energy made it an exciting dinner. I would recommend this place to Indian food lovers and non alike. I was just happy to give me.
Awful dining experience. Let's see, poor food, poor service, watery drinks and high prices - what's not to like? $105 later for two (we actually left a tip), we had a manhattan, glass of chardonnay, microscopic appetizer, and small portion entrees of the Tamarind Duck (chewy and tough, tasted rewarmed), the prawns in mustard/coconut sauce (not bad, but the prawns were tough and tasted rewarmed, three chutneys, one bread and one coffee. "Chutneys" all tasted like sugar, too much sugar. Bulgarian waitress could not speak English clearly enough to describe food or options. Ambiance in the bar is not bad, but they really need tablecloths on the dining tables. There are too many really good Indian restaurants on the Peninsula to spend very high prices on such terribly poorly prepared dishes. High point of the visit was the bus boy, who attentively filled water glasses and cleared dishes.
