Took a Chance--Wish I Hadn't. I looked at the reviews on this website before taking my daughter. I wish I had paid more attention to the negative ones. The haircut was terrible and...well, the staff not pleasent. (After I came back I checked out the positive reviews and they seemed to be by "someone" that only wrote one review on this site ever. Only for Cubby Cuts. Hmmmm....could it be the owners? ) Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Cubby Cuts For Kids is the best kids salon in Mountain View and the Bay Area. So, I'm sharing since my daughter has always had an awesome experience at Cubby Cuts off of El Camino Real. Its this great kids hair place that has tvs, video games, and lots of toys for the kids. My daughter even gets a cute little bow at the end of her haircuts and gets to ride a horse while she gets her haircut. She wasn't born with much hair but due to Cubby Cuts' monthly trims, it has finally filled out into a bunch of blonde curls.

Despite all these great things, I have been seeing many high maintenanced parents in this salon giving the staff a hard time about this that and the other which made me realize why there probably isn't very many kids hair salons in this area. Cubby Cuts For Kids is a very popular kids salon in Mountain View as me and my friends all take their kids to this fun place and everyone that I run into has been there as well. I still can't understand why some parents I won't name any names but have seen this with my own eyes feel the need to make everything revolve around them. Cubby Cuts is probably the safest, cleanest kids salon I have been too and I love their haircuts. I sure know I'm not qualified to cut a screaming, wiggling child or deal with their overwhelming moms/dads.

This is solely my opinion, but I think any parents who don't have good experiences may have been a root of their own problem as I have been in there practically every 2 months and have had nothing but great things to say. Sometimes we get what we give.....just something to think about. I will get off my soapbox now. It's just annoying when I see things coming from ignorant sources that know nothing about businesses much less running one. On top of that, making negative remarks about a business as an so called anonymous source just so they can bring their kid back to Cubby Cuts because no one else will deal with their eccentric ways!!! Ok, now I will get off my soapbox now.

Great Haircuts!!. I've been to

regular salons

and specialized

kids salons before,but

Cubby Cuts was different.

They greeted me

and my child soon

as we came in the door.

Everyone at the salon

was friendly and very

professional.We've been

there a few times

and all their stylist

are good and fast.

So if your Child has

trouble getting a

haircut or just

deserves a

good one this

place is for you.

Terrible Attitudes! I'll never return. The haircuts are only so-so. But my problem with Cubby Cuts is the woman at the front desk -- she just terrible!. She is extremely rude to my preschooler & toddler as well as to me.

I will never return there!! I would never recommend it!

Cubby Cuts is experienced w/ baby cuts!!. I just took my 2 week old to Cubby Cuts. Yes, I said 2 weeks old!. My son was born needing a haircut!! We brought him to Cubby Cuts and were surprised that they were able to give my son a great baby haircut. His hair was totally hanging in his eyes and embarassingly we were using tiny hair rubber bands to hold his hair away from his face. We had called other salons not kid friendly to see if they would consider doing my son and we got flat no's from many salons not going to mention any names. Anyways, Cubby Cuts was fantastic while I was a terrified mess! The male stylist was confident and did the haircut with ease even while enduring a many, many pictures. We even got a cut little haircut certificate at the end. This is a great place!

Curly Haired Kids should try Cubby Cuts!!! Great place!!!. We are so glad we found this place for our daughter. She has extremely curly hair and we get overwhelmed by it at times. She has had some awful haircuts in the past due to her immense curls. We decided to try Cubby Cuts and she loved the place and we loved her haircut! The stylists were experienced with really curly hair and the haircut went by in a snap! Cubby Cuts is such a good idea for children with or without curly hair because it is a salon just for kids, so it makes it a lot easier on parents to get their children's haircut. There are toys and movies playing and a adorable play house that my daughter had to be pulled out of because she never wanted to leave! We will back at Cubby Cuts as soon as my daughter's ringlets are back in her eyes.

Cubby Cuts Kids Haircuts that are actually Fun!!. My 3 year old triplets love Cubby Cuts. They can't wait to get their haircut now becuase of all the fun stuff Cubby Cuts has for the kids to play with while they get their haircut. We used to drive all the way to Burligame and we live in Los Altos but now we have a short drive to Cubby Cuts in Mountain View! The haircuts are fantastic. I don't know how the stylists do it with the kids moving around so much but I get quality haircuts everytime!

Terrible Experience. I had an experience similiar to someone else that reviewed this place. The person at the front desk was extremely rude.Rudeness to me, I can ignore, but to my four year old was inexcusable. When she overheard me tell the barber that she really shouldn't be so snippy to preschoolers she followed me out the store yelling at me to never come back. And, I won't .
