I LOVE this place!. Caffe del Doge is one of my favorite places in Palo Alto! I love the Giacometto (i forget the spelling)--it's an espresso served in a martini glass, with hazelnut chocolate sauce, steamed milk (i get it with soy), and chopped hazelnuts. It's a subtle but delicious drink. And Jessica and Svenja are the friendliest, sweetest servers; I visit Palo Alto yearly to teach dance, and they totally made me feel welcome during my last visit. I wish there could be a Caffe del Doge in the Los Angeles area.
The Emperical Italian Cafe. At the heart of downtown Palo Alto, Caffe del Doge is a gourmet coffeehouse catering to the surrounding business community, local Palo Altans, and Europeans. It is the emperical Italian cafe where espressos are their jewels and cappuccinos are their hallmark. A beautiful location for dates and business meetings, simultanously; other delicious espresso specialties, hot chocolates, and wines are also served.
croissant is the bomb!. Really good coffee but their croissant is out of this world - so flaky and so buttery, wow! There's not one thing I've tried here that I didn't like - it's a gem.
