Worst customer service ever. The stylist may be talented, but they have no clue as to how to handle customers.My experience with the salon was rather horrid and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Takes no responsibility and produce little customer service. I was a first time customer at Tangerine Hair Studio. Went in for a layer cut on my long hair. The stylist was young and new at Tangerine. Still she had a license to cut hair and its the owner's responsibility to have quality stylist to maintain good clienteles. After I left, I went home and my husband checked out my new haircut. He said "honey, your hair was cut unevenly." He suggested I call Tangerine Hair Studio and ask for the owner. My husband thought the owner would be responsive. He said owners wouldn't want to have a poor review about their business if its something they can easily fix. So, I called and requested the owner call me back about a recent service I had there. I left 3 messages for the Owner and not one call back. Its been over 3 weeks now and I have not heard from the owner. Needless to say, I took my business else where and the owner and stylist was professional and responsive. Haircuts are expensive and if I'm going to spend my hard earn money for a service, I expect it to be right. I recommend consumers find a more professional place to give their money to. There are tons of good stylist out there and great friendly owners.

Great find!. I am new to the area and no one I mean NO ONE does my hair like my aunt that I have found. I went here and Tara did my hair, it's the best it's looked since I lived in Orange County and that was four years ago, I let her just cut and dye my hair the way she wanted and my fiancee loves it, he even insisted she does my hair for our wedding. Thanks so much!

good first experience at Tangerine. I'm surprised to find there are no reviews for this place...so here's mine! I walked in to make an appt. for a bangs trim for the next day and got it, very easy. I wasn't expecting much because the place from the outside doesn't seem to attract a lot of people... or at least, it's in an area between the light rail stations and SJSU, so a lot of student traffic going through. I was scheduled with Tiffany M. and when I walked in, she greeted me right away =] I filled out a customer card and then was seen. I had brought in a few pictures to show her what I wanted and she was very receptive. She was happy to see the pictures and asked me a lot of questions about how exactly I wanted my bangs. I felt very comfortable because she didn't talk down to me or look at me like I was asking for too much, which is a good thing because I always feel like I ask or want more than what can be given from a hairstylist.. So then she started to trim my bangs and I liked very much that she didn't rush through it like other hairstylists. She took her time and was focused even though there was a very loud conversation going on right next to us. She finished me off with some hair goop hah and I was done. It took a total of 15 mins? I think.. I paid the $15 and then tipped her. She did a great job, my bangs turned out exactly how I wanted them =] I don't usually write reviews, but for Tiffany M. I had to! So I signed up with citysearch because I wanted to share with everyone my great experience with her, even though it was just a bangs trim. I went at a time when it seemed less busy so I can't really comment on the service from everyone else. At times it looks really busy with people getting their hair coloured, so I guess thinking about this place again, it might be popular? I'm not sure, but I know I recommend Tiffany M.! She's the first hair person I feel confident in recommending (for a bangs trim, at least) =] And the pricing is reasonable, in my opinion.
