Dr. James Ratcliff prevents and treats sports-related injuries of the foot and ankle. He is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Ratcliff received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1991. He completed his residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles in 1992. An avid triathlete for over 20 years, Dr. Ratcliff completed the California Ironman in 2000. He has run several marathons and suffered many of the common overuse injuries that he treats daily. Early diagnosis and treatment are key to rapid recovery, and Dr. Ratcliff strives to get his patients "up and running" as quickly as possible. Dr. Ratcliff lives in Los Gatos with his wife and two young sons. He enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and relaxing with his family.
