San Jose >Stanley's Sports Bar
I'd give it 10 more stars if it were possible..
This place is relatively new, this is not a place for fine dining (maybe sometime in the future) but definitely not now. Bring your buddies, chums, whatever and enjoy a game obviously hockey is the choice for most Stanley-Bar-Goers.
This is an excellent place if you're looking for a place for a large group of people, Again, NOT for fine dining. Burgers, Fry's and a Beer are about as good as your going to get. Don't expect a kitchen full of exquisite dining selections.
If you want a cabin in the mountains like feel the atmosphere is place perfect. It's first class in my opinion. So one might expect more from the menu, but I will reiterate one last time... it's NOT for fine dining.
So as the official first 5 star rating of Stanley's... just know you're going there to have a good time with the friends. You're not going to go here for a first class meal (there's a lot of other places for that).
Things to remember:
- Clean & Classy Environment
- It's a Sports Bar! Nothing more....
- Free Wireless Internet
- Games, pool table and limited selection of arcade games
Things I would hope for:
- Better Menu Selection (staff admits its limited)
THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. When I visited the place, I was told that there was not a lunch menu. I took a seat and observed the table next to mine gets served. I requested a drink and was given a dirty possibly used straw for my drink. I order food waited 1 hour later and was given the something different. The staff then gave the table next to mine my original order then told me that they had run out of potato skins, which was my appetizer. I asked for a refund and waited 20 minutes for that. I then observed the table next to mine get far superior service. I just got the wrong order, the wrong meal, a used straw and a I observed my appetizer get eaten in front of by my customers whom did not finish eating it what a waste.
