Eat a burger here, and you won't eat one anywhere else again! Seriously, top of the line quality everything. Parmasean Fries are amaaazing. Cool theme too!

I friggin love this place!!! Build your own options to appease everyone in the fam!! With picky kids, a wife constantly looking for healthy options, and Dad(me) who just wants great beer, sports, and a fat burger!! Hats off to you Counter!!!

Great burgers, great beef exclusively from Meyer Ranch. They do explain the cook temperatures to you, so pay attention if you'd like less pink! Service has been great every time I've been there and the manager is awesome!

The Counter is a place where creative people go to enjoy building there own burgers. I enjoyed looking at all the selections I had to choose from. I also had the option to choose what size I wanted. 1/3, 2/3, or a pound. you dont get that option anywhere, I also got to order my burger Medeum, thier is no where that I know of that you can get your burger cooked your way and with the topping you pick. I choose to put lettuce, roasted red peppers, green chilis, fried avocado, as well as a fried egg on a chibatta bun. It came out just the way i ordered it. That fried egg on my burger was awesome! Apart from making my burger the way i like it, I also order the sampler app it is to die for. Sweet potatoe fries, reg fries, onion strings and four fried pickles. The sweet potatoe fries and the pickles were so good we had to order a single frie pickles & sweet potatoe fries because they were that good. To top it all off I ordered a shake. I had the Oreo shake. That was awesome!!! As you can see I give The Counter In Palo Alto and all the other Counter a 5 Star review. They did a great job all around. To the service to getting what I wanted. The Counter gets an A++++. I recommend the counter to everyone. If you are creative just like me this is the place for you and for those of you who have friends that just like to read, You should also try the counter, they have creations of there own that are awesome that I am sure you would like. I will be back over and over again.

Had a great time here. The burgers were great and it was a fun and unique way to order them. The sweet potato fries and shakes were perfect. The staff was very friendly and catered to all our needs. I would go back just for the staff. And to top it all off they have a full bar!

We went in and were treated great by the staff, friendy, carring. The food was awesome. It came out quickly and our burgers were cooked as ordered and were the best burgers we have ever had. I would recommend this location (they have more) and we will definatley be back

Poisoned by their Medium Rare Burger!. Horrible experience. For one they charge extra just for things like bacon or avocado ($1 each!) So that my burger alone ended up costing over $10. The nightmarish part actually began when I LEFT The Counter. The next morning (stretching all day and night long!) I had the worst vomiting and diarrhea of my life. I got food poisoning from the medium rare burger! I will never eat there again.

Lousy rude manager Jim. My boyfriend at the time who is a Palo Alto Wuppie, said that other such PA folks raved over this place. We had gone once before and the service was lousy . A year later we decided to give it another try...they were not as crowded. The manager Jim, bald headed guy was indifferent and inattentive. He asked how my food was but walked away when I was talking and my weak boyfriend just didn't know what to do. My burger took forever to get to the table, and when I got it , the things I ordered on it were not there. I will never eat there or at any other Counter establishment again. Plus after all that crap, it was expensive. Go figure, all this in Palo Alto.

Great Fries. I don't order burgers here anymore because no matter how cooked I've asked them to be, they're so pink I'm slightly scared to eat them.

I am however hooked on their sweet potato fries and sauce... love it!
